This thread [which i expect to not go very far:lol3 ] is a repository for those of you who love and appreciate the venerable and, i dare say, ubiquitous Suzuki supersport motorcycles.

All years, the only rule is that it should be, or have been, or will imminently become, your bike.

    I'll start.

He rode into BYOB and within minutes he was tooling around on that Gixxer in flip flops and shorts....

He's also a funny and nice guy. :wave

I remember sitting on the first gen 750 and the 1100, man those things seemed like a race prepped bike compared to what else was available. But I was young and broke. I really would like to have one now, but I fear they are all painted hot pink with stickers these days, or hanging from the ceiling in pieces at cycle-re-cycle.

you're better off buying new and just hanging on to it. the yellow bike i posted lost 1st gear a month after i bought it...rode it a year and sold it at a $1,000 loss :cry swore i'd never buy used again.

    30,000mi and counting on my blue/white K5.

I gotta friend who has a gixxer 600 that he rides like a touring bike - we did 1000 miles total weekend before last riding up to Monterey and then back down the coast - I think the guy is a loon, but what do I know - he is tougher than me to do that many miles hunched over like that.

I've done about 150 miles or so on his bike, and I appreciate how light and agile the thing is, and it really is an easy bike to ride...just not sure I would want to ride it quite as far as he does. I admit that I would have never considered one before I rode his, but if I were buying a sportbike (which I shall do someday), I would definitely give it a look-see - it's a nice little bike

I loved my '06 GSX-R1000 which was my last streetbike GSXR. I only ride them on the track now days and I prefer a much quicker more agile 600 for that.

My '07 GSX-R600 is a super little bike on the track. Ohlins front and rear and all the crash proof go fast stuff bolted on. She ain't a looker but she get's around a racetrack mighty quick.:D

I love GSXR's and I have had a slew of them over the years. Easily the best bike out of the box to go straight to a racetrack. Simple engineering at it's finest.

I ride it like a touring bike/commuter. I really like the size. Why can't they make a truly functional 600cc or less touring bike? I made one myself.

Here are the pelican cases...ignore the towel over the seat. It was just there to keep the seat from getting too hot. I wanted the yellow cases to increase conspicuity. Everybody asks me, "why yellow, black woulda been better?", which means they noticed me...now doesn't it.

I think they look great. How big are they, what part #, how did you install them, how much did it cost, etc. ? :evil
