Hmm lived in a flat attached to a factory unit about then. The guy in the factory was building a VW with a Chev in it.
He also did an overhead cam conversion on it about then.
But no it was still a cast iron block so not that one. Also in the shed for a bit there was a Dino Ferrari 308?
It would have had something along those lines in it. Lots of carbies.
1st day out for the VW fastback was at Phillip island.
It was a few rows back on the grid but when the flag dropped he pulled one wheel on the grass and beat them all to the 1st corner.

Outfit is all packed up ready for the annual 5B's Rally. 200 kms of tight twin track to get to a pub to get on it with 60 other riders following me. This year I have a young fella who wants to risk life and limb to monkey it down, what could possibly go wrong. 7 other 14's to carry the beer stop supplies.
Normal plan is to inject around $10k in to a small country pub in one night
