    Mixed emotions over the settlement

I was kind of hoping they would just cancel the season instead of having a short one. Plus I would save some $$$ from ticket refunds.

On the other hand, football ends in a couple of weeks so I need something to watch.:lurk

It will be interesting to see which players kept in hockey shape.

    Yay, I guess.:clap:rolleyes

Are they going to imitate the NFL and have a 16 game regular season?

Maybe they should just go right into the playoffs.
I'm happy they're playing. To me, it's still the most exciting sport to play and watch.
It'll put more people back to work than just the players. Which is good.
I wonder about some of the players that just signed to play overseas, are the contracts now void?

I am not a hockey fan but think they need a little of their own medicine to show them who the boss is. It would be really cool to see the first game played to have an empty stadium to let the greedy owners know that fans can make or break them. Greed has ruined almost every sport we know and very few athletes do it for the sport. Its all about the big houses and fancy cars and bling today. Just my opinion.

All the guys I've played with play for the love of the game. Including myself. In fact, it costs us money to play.

If you have lightning tickets, I'll take them since you will not be using them.

I'm a big fan and am glad they are back but they need to spend some time in the penalty box.

Instead of bothering with a short regular season they should just start with the playoffs from the beginning. Seven game series-- win you're in...

I was a huge hockey fan, but I washed my hands of this league when the lockout started. I don't have a ton of extra cash, but what I did have I spent on the NHL. Tix, Center Ice package, merch, etc. I don't miss hockey as much as I thought I would, and I've got a *ton* of free time I didn't have before as well as a bit more scratch in my pocket. I have a Div I NCAA team right up the street from me, and I can get glass side seats for $35.

I'm not going to spend another penny on the NHL until Bettman is gone.

    There will be hockey?
But, will anybody show up at games.?
I don't think hockey has the popularity for a lockout
like they did, they screwed themselves

The Garden is sold out. Binocular section was $165 as of tonight on the scalper line.

Great Lakes, Northeast, Canada, will all be fine.

All the markets they shouldn't be in anyway will struggle.
