Up near the summit of Mt. Lemmon. 25 or so twisty miles up the Catalina Highway and you're 25 degrees or so cooler. I feel very lucky to have this in my backyard.

I travel the BRP quite regularly. I took this pic a little over a year ago.

I'm not sure how much of the BRP you actually got to ride, but it's worth it to take a long weekend and ride from end to end. The section I ride most is from the southern end, at the Great Smokey Mountain Parkway, up to the Linville Gorge area. There is a lot of good little side roads to ride, both gravel and paved. May want to make that a full week of riding. :nod:ricky

Rode all of, north to south from Waynesboro to Cherokee. Didn't stray off it much, just to get to camp or get fuel. The southern section in North Carolina around Pisgah national forest was probably my favorite.

Great you got to ride nearly the entire length. The southern end is my favorite area on the Parkway as well. I have some other areas that I like to ride that border the parkway around little Switzerland and those areas. I hope you get to explore the areas around the parkway sometime.

Pano view of the old mountain road from Machynlleth to Llanidloes last week. Stunning views of the Cambrian mountains.

Nice looking bike/luggage combination there Runaway Rider... there are so many great soft luggage options now but I like the color match on your bike with the Wolfmans.
