How many folks have seen this? Its ugly, an automatic, and confused about it's identity.... It's like a cruiser had a three-way with a crotch-rocket and a scooter, and gave birth to this turd. YIKES![IMG]

That bike is the biggest misguided piece of shit Honda has made since the Rune. The Rune actually makes sense compared to that.

    A $16,000 600cc V-Twin automatic cruiser for newbies.

But they still can't import a Trans-Alp or Varadero.

    Fuck Honda.

This probably isn't the right forum, should be in Road Warriors or JM

Looks like something from a low budget scifi future world flick

Honda made an automatic transmission back in the late 70's or early 80's.
Didn't exactly sell like hot cakes. Unless you had some kind of disability issue, why would anyone care to have such a thing?
    A V-Twin ? What were they thinking? :lol3

and you may not like it. But I bet it sells well if released. There are a lot of young people out there that want to get into riding but do not want Dirt bikes, Sport bikes, or a Cruiser.

This will be a winner for Honda.

I suspect that price point is going to miss the mark for attracting the young rider demographic. There is a reason why Ninja 250's sell like Happy Meals to new/young riders. That price point is aimed squarely at big cruiser buying old farts (like me minus the cruiser and the income) with lots of disposable income.

I actually respect Honda for bringing things like this and the Rune into production. It shows they still have balls. Just 'cause it's not your cup-o-tea does not mean it is shit.

Anyway, while it does not interest me as a buyer, I do think it looks better than alot of bike I see US ride... KLR's, VStroms, and even the sought after new Varaderos come to mind. :puke1 See what I mean? Different strokes for different folks...

By the way, this bike is old news. :fitz :D

I checked it out at the IMS.

    I like it.

The seating position is good and the ergos give a short guy a break. It's like sitting on the "Bike of the Future" from the 80's. :lol3 I'm not sure I'd have it as my only bike but for a runabout or daytripper it's be great.

I applaud Honda for trying new things and there are some aspects of this bike which are very intriguing. Personally, I think we are due for a well-done automatiic. But the price is completely out of bounds, simply ridiculous. At $10K, Honda might find some traction with folks who want the low-seat height of a cruiser (never underestimate what a big deal this is to a lot of newcomers) and also want some of the easy-to-ride features of a scooter. But at $14,600 Honda is pissing into the wind.

I completely agree, the bike's not bad in the looks department imo and I could see a place for it but not for the price they're asking. They need to knock at least $5k of the price to see any sales or this'll end up selling like Yamaha's GTS1000 did in the 90's.

I'm all for trying new things, but when she tells you to stop - you probably should.

I just don't see a point of this bike. if someone wants automatic, they will buy a scooter at 1/2 price, if someone wants a bike that will handle they will buy real bike.

I respectfully propose that you are DEAD FOOKIN WRONG-O.

This will go down in history as a turd.

Very high quality maxi scooters are available, at least here in Europe, for those who want something with these characteristics. They're selling like hotcakes over here, for about 5k euro.

If Honda wants another hit they need to do an updated Africa Twin.
