Well Great! It's aways nice to find a deal on the items you want... Good Luck with that Bike.... :-)

Luckily IF I was to get a bigger bike most all of the things I got on my XR are removable and could be transplanted to it if I wanted too... lol...

Well I may be talking only to myself here but:

I received the seat cover today.... I installed it and went on a longer than normal ride to Dagupan City to try it out... I will say it is better than JUST the normal seat.... It is contoured and allows for air flow... In and of itself it is Okay... It clips around the seat and does not slide around... I think the sheep Skin feels better after a longer time in the saddle but maybe if I had the sheep skin sown of the top of this cover it would be perfect....
    DSCN1051.JPG DSCN1053.JPG

ADDITIONALLY: I purchased an 18 inch 1.85x18 front Rim & spokes today...
My intention is to by the Shinko SR244 tires in sizes 4.60x17Rear, 3.50x18 or 3.00X18 Front when these tires wear out.
The small rim allows for more tire selection and the taller tire will offset the size difference .
That way I do not have to be stuck with a 2.75x19 tire... I can choose betwen the 3.00X18 or the 3.50X18 tire... Mo better selections....

    Hey there Sir Scott.

Sorry, been out a long time with things at work. Besides, nothing has really been done to my bike and, quite honestly, my finances are not exactly in a position to slosh around money on any form of upgrade on the bike. Once I've settled all my loans this year, maybe then, but a new helmet needs to be in order by the end of this year for me and the wife.

Wow. That seat cover is actually not bad. Thanks for sharing that. Good to know there is airflow in that. I always feel like my groin region get mugged up on sunny days yet unbelievably soaked during times I get caught in the rain.

Can't wait to see those 18 wheels up and your feedback on handling. I too was thinking of the 18 wheelsize as I just don't feel like upgrading to 21 inchers since I mostly ride on street. I kinda like canyon carving and the 19s already do a lot of work banking a curve, how much more the 21s. If only there are aftermarket options for 19s in terms of rims. I feel like the 19s are perfect for this bike, but hey, if 18s work then 18s it is. Let us know the results, Scott.

    -Andrew

On a side note, will be going back to Davao City for 2 days with the missus' family, but will be going on a bus since dad can't go with us (so no car) and will be bringing in the kids. So, no epic 200+km bike ride with the missus that I was planning, which is a shame. :doh

lol... Andrew, No issues... I was just playing around because it has been so quite around here... lol...
The 18" Front is not going on really soon.... I'm going to wait until the tire I bought is ready to change.
I got spokes but I believe they are too long... I got 209mm and if my thinking is good I'll need 203 or 203.5? I'm NOT a wheel man so I'm guessing at this... If someone ever figures this out I hope they share lol... The parts store I bought the rim at had no idea... They seem to only do "Original" not custom parts changes...
I need to find a shop that does wheel changes and see what they will be willing to tell me...
I too was going to go 21" but again, went to several parts store and ordered the Rim & Spokes but they NEVER came up with them.... But if I can find the proper spokes then OK...

My issue is I live in this small Farm Town and they have NO IDEA Most of the time... It is NOT like Manila.... I'm told by most shops here that they cannot get parts, tires because the manufacturers fill orders in Manila first and they do not have stock to fill orders from outlaying areas... Seems strange to me but more than one shop told me that so I guess that is the way business is conducted here...

There is one guy in a different forum that changes both rims:

Yeah that tire looks like it will work for you. I wish as you said there were more options... Tire companies make the tires... They are just NOT SOLD HERE Either!!! :becca
As shown in the photo below: NOT ONE 19"

I'm happy with the way the bike is turning out but I'm re-installing the "Analog" dash until I can get a Rally Dash made that I really want if that is possible...

Nice tire but I worry about the 130/80-17 size. I currently have 120/80-17 on and it is about the limit for that poor little 2.15x17 Rim. lol... I REALLY WANT A SET OF TKC80's....REALLY REALLY REALLY!!!!! Not sold here in the sizes I need.... %$#@&^$%$@^%#%@%^#$%%$#@%#!!! lol

Well HERE is what I have TODAY! You now I change Stuff daily lol:

You may notice I lowered the front fender about 4".
I also re-installed the bar risers...
I have the 12DC Plug where the old ign key was...

I originally wanted an XRE300 but the dealer is still out of stock. Plenty of these though. Looking to mess around in the city and in whatever dirt I can find. MY concern is the small engine, how would the occasional 1.5 hour highway ride be on this? How fast can you get them up to?

    Well Hello Tycobb,

I would NOT EVEN concern myself with that issue.... I have just under 20,000km on mine and I ride EVERYWHERE at 90kph or more. I have ridden 200 Plus KM at that speed and have NO ISSUES!... This "Little bike" as some would call it is a strong, easy to ride machine. I did change the gear ratio to the 16/51 because I wanted more low end power for hills in the mountain towns without loosing my Highway speed. That is MY 2 Cents....
I ride this bike like it was a 400cc..lol.... And it has NEVER let me down....

    Shivanshuu,

Looking GOOOOOD!!! lol... Has that "True Adventure Bike Look now" !
Now when you pack the bike you will not have to worry about your bags getting on the muffler. And the is way more protection for the main bike.. GREAT!... I like the way it came out..
    Question is: DO YOU?

    :ricky:ricky:ricky:ricky

For mine I also lowered the front fender a bit...
I wanted to do a DAKAR fender and have it right on the wheel but the fork lowers are 50mm and NO ONE makes a Bolt on fender mount in that size here... The have 43mm at best....

@TheExpat Looking fineeeee! It looks as it might just fly away!! Love your engine guard structure.

Sorry for my absence, I haven't ridden the bike much because rain just spoils the weekends and I've worked too much. Hopefully in a month or so it'll stop raining for six months (hopefully for me, farmers not so crazy about the idea). Yesterday I took the bike to get a good degreasing and wash, and it came back looking like new. I finally installed the Renthal bars with handguards, and I finally got myself a decent burrito tube but so far I've only taken it around town on short rides.

@Shivanshu Sorry about your grandfather. Hope he's better now. Love your mods too. Looks mean!

It's great to say hello to everybody here again. I'll spend some time catching up beyond this last comment page.

    Keep ridin'!
