I used to have a 1920's (?) vintage Husqvarna lever shotgun that looks similar though it had modern barrels. You might try researching down that road?

That is so cool. I never saw a "twice barrel" break from the bottom like that. Nice. I love the 4 sided nut also.

I have been 9mm shopping for a while. I had it narrowed down to a 9mm 1911 or a M&P pro series. Well the M&P is on back order so I went to the gun show Saturday in search of a 1911 or maybe a G17. Gun show was a no go, I found a decent priced G17 but I just cant get used to the feel of a glock.

I still want a full size 1911 in 9mm but evidentially thats impossible to find locally. I will probably just have my FFL order a STI for me.

Well I stopped in a local shop after the gun show and he had a CZ in the case. I ended up taking it home. Its a good shooter. Really thin grip for a 16rd double stack. You can swap in a safety or Decocker. I have the decocker installed, its a little thick so I may swap in the safety since the lever is smaller. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the trigger, silky smooth and crisp in SA. It came with three mags and cleaning tools as well. The little integrated beaver tail feels similar to my 1911 and its very comfortable.

I ran about a 100rds of random FMJ through it and it ate everything. I am loving it so far. I do want to swap in some night sites but thats about it
Any ideas on where i can get sites for a CZ?

Nice the P7. Love them but still don't have one! How did the Sheriff know for you to watch your back? You would think he would arrest someone saying you should? And is it that prejudice there>? Seems old world, I think the prejudice must be a bad excuse for someone in a competing business?

I'd really like to have a 1911 in 9mm. I don't like the snappiness of 9mm, but I think a full size steel 1911 frame would make it real manageable.

I wouldn't think twice about taking a cz in te place though.

If you still in the market RIA makes a 1911 9mm.

I have an STI Edge in 40S&W which is snappier than a 9mm. The full size 1911 frame works very well with it. I shoot it better than I do 45ACP. With a 45, it is a slower push and takes longer to come back down on target.

I have the Glock 19, and wish I would have gotten a 1911 frame Para or something similar.

I can't stand the plastic toy feel of the Glock. it is a good gun, well put together and tight, but I am defenitely not a fan of the polymer chassis anymore even though I liked it at first.

I am trying to minimize calibers and I already have a few 9mm pistols so I really want a 9mm 1911. 1911 is my favorite platform and I think a 9mm version will suit me very well.

Yeah I have been eyeballing the RIA 9mm tactical but I cant find one to look at. The STI spartan uses an armscor frame with STI slide so it is budget friendly. Dawson Precision lists several 9mm STI with a CRP package that is very tempting.

I am leaning towards this one STI Trojan 9mm With CRP package:

I am frugal so I will probably go with the STI Spartan CRP for $370 less. $370 buys a lot of ammo:lol3

I would love a 1911 in 45 but I am too tight to shoot 45. :rofl

Thanks I'm really looking forward to both. And yeah, good old CA is a full ten days for pistols and long guns.. Super irritating for sure.
