Check out the Ithaca Model 37.

It's about as light a 12ga pump you'll find. You can get HD & slug barrels too After I got mine I started hitting everything. It just fits me I guess. I went to a skeet shoot being run by a local gun club as a fund raiser. I broke 20 of 25 and all the guys there with their expensive O/U doubles (think Chas Daley) wanted to know what I was shooting.:D

I have ahd a bunch and the best one save for the [problem with the brightness in broad daylight was the cheapest which was an NC Star....oon an AR the thing rocked unless it was Noon and the target wad white.....had it been a green dot at the time, it would have been perfect

A mag extension on the mossberg means you have to get a new barrel.

590A1 is going to be big and heavy. That's a 20" with a heavy barrel and extras like the bayonet lug. There is an 18" without the bayonet lug, IIRC. A Supernova's going to be a lot lighter. Parts can be expensive though. If you want a Benelli barrel, that's $350 which is the cost of a complete Nova. If you don't need the pistol grip stock then you might consider a Nova instead.

Also with the Ithaca Model 37, the barrel on the new Defender model is fixed meaning you can swap barrels.

    to make it more colorful!

    This are my two options!

    590A1 20" barrel / 8+1
    [IMG]

    SuperNova 24" barrel / 4+1

I don't care to make any modifications to either of them, maybe a extension magazine to the SuperNova if I go in that direction.

Might want to resize that Supernova pic.

In any case, what are you wanting to do with it? The 590A1 is on the other side of the spectrum from that 24" Supernova.

I find it amusing on gun threads or forums where a guy will say "I want either a __________ or a ___________. What do you suggest?" Fill in the blanks however you like, in your case the SN or the 590A1. Invariably they get suggestions for different guns! I guess we are just a bunch of opinionated guys. :lol3

In any case......I have a SuperNova like the one you showed in the pic. I believe it has a longer barrel than 24", however, am thinking it's a 26 or 28", but be that as it may, I find it a great gun. I bought mine primarily for turkey hunting, have a 3" 12 gauge that I use for waterfowl, but wanted to be able to shoot the big 3.5" roman candle shells, and the SuperNova does that quite well. My daughter-in-law did a great job of busting clays with it one day. Great all around gun, albeit kinda ugly.

That would work but it puts the cheek weld a little too low for me. This configuration lets me use the Aimpoint with the standard front sight and a Troy fixed rear while maintaining the stock cheek weld.

Had my hands on one a couple hours ago. Didn't shoot it, but was encouraged to buy it by the shop owner:D
SUPER light. Stainless cylinder w/ lots of sculpting to remove weight. Besides the cylinder, no exposed metal, all was plastic. Metal barrel insert. The plastic was decent, had a little molding flash. I didn't dry fire it, so i can't speak about the trigger. But the cylinder release was very smooth and the lockup solid.
I wasn't in the market for a revolver, I also thought it was overpriced, $429. Did bring home a SR22 though:wink: Report on that this weekend maybe.

Yup, nice scope, I have one for the AR. I've given it a beating or two, still holds zero, the clarity is good.
Mine has the Mil dot reticle.
