More or less, I don't think the wood was quite that purdy. That yours? I like.

I'm not that keen on chinese knock-offs, on principle.
    :dunno

If I were to get something "newer" I'd just get a Rem 870, get a nice 22-24" barrel and a sling and it'd suit me fine, just wouldn't look quite as cool.

But for now, I'll go 1911 shopping, even though another shotgun would probably be more of use to me.

I'm okay with that - I like the purdy factor.

I think I'll call this pic, "The best shotgun I ever had but was epically stupid and sold it." I bought one in the early 90's, not too long after I turned 21. Mine was semi auto. I have a much more pedestrian Mossberg 500A pump at the moment. It'll do :D , but I do miss the S90.

I can't shoot a wheel gun for shit.

    :dunno

I'd also consider a few other good looking pistols - must be metal, hammer must be exposed, and able to take nice wood grips.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned one of these.

Well built, kicks less than a S&W 500 revolver for obvious reasons, fits a 6'7" lineman of the Oakland Raiders better than it does my 6' scrawny ass:lol3
Expensive to shoot, campy, mystical, somewhat historical, and I don't think there was one in the movie Fargo, though I've driven from Fargo to the twin cities (though I believe they are now made in Israel but I could be wrong) once.
Best used to shoot malignant, narcissistic clowns and hay-wire elephants:thumb

I had a custom shop .41 mag Desert Eagle with a 12" barrel on it, used it for hunting (took my first whitetail with it). It was a cool gun, but the pimp-factor is off-the-charts with "Deagles".

Once I saw the first gold one, and three homeboys pointing and grunting at it in the local funstore, I knew the shark tank had been jumped hard.

The new trends in weaponry tech is fookin' mindblowing. But I'll still keep a good ol' .45 on my hip, just in case :D

I'm thinking of getting a .30 M1 Carbine from the CMP. Anybody got one? What's your opinion of it? Ammo availibility/cost ? Accuracy?

Heavy as a tank, not all to accurate, can't find (good affordable) holsters for them, they are hard to shoot for most because of the ergos, as in BIG. Never liked them.
