How much would you estimate that you spent each day (average) while riding the KAT?

Another from Google Drive to YouTube. Hard 10

At the start we're building a tree bark bridge over a mud hole filled with hydraulic fluid and diesel fuel. Their were barrels of the stuff laying around on their side with no cap's on them.

Toward the end of the video im going up a hill hanging to the right to clear a big deep rut when I hit a tree stump hiding it the weed's. It smash's my foot between it and the bike deflecting me to the left right into that rut. My foot hurt so bad I thought it might be broken. It swelled up and turned black and blue but I walked it off in a couple weeks lol.

I think that is part of the old TETS tracks? weve ridden that before and plan to ride it again. I remember that hill. Jeff I have those tracks for that if you need them?

Here's a video of Hard 7 going counter clockwise. Sorry it's so shaky, I'm a filming noob. :shog

    Jeff,

Thanks for all your hard work on maintaining a current track.

Sorry to see that the Black Mountain (pipe line and previous Hard 7) section was removed.

Curious-is that a result of the newly installed gate?

    Regards,

Yeah, but it looks like it may be temporary. I've got my contact working on it. :D

Despite this trail being 20 minutes from my doorstep I didn't even know it existed until now. I think my wife and I are going to hit it up in the spring or summer. Anyone done it on a Ural yet? That's the wife's main ride. I will either be on my GSA or maybe a DR650.

You'll have a blast! She wouldn't be able to do all of the hard sections as some are tight single track but she'd be fine on the main loop. Have fun!

You will still run into a lot of dirt, mud, rocks, logs, ect. on the main loop. She will want knobby tires for sure!

I've mentioned this to Jeff myself and he isn't planning to anytime soon. I'd love to see a nice long sleeve polyester shirt with a big the KAT logo on the rear and a smaller one to the side on the front. Make for the best riding shirts. I'd rather that over another cotton t-shirt any day even though they cost more.

Personally - I'd rather see Jeff out finding new tracks and building on KAT's success rather than printing shirts. If others want this to happen - I'd bet he'd "license" you to do so. Just a thought.

Well I figured Jeff could have them made up and inflate the price 100% and call it a donation instead of an expensive shirt. Same as the stickers. I’ve had them made before and this was 20+ years ago and it’s as simple as walking into a local print shop with a photo of the logo or in this case a sticker. It they were $50 bucks ask for a $100 donation and get a shirt.
I agree however that he’d wind up eating the initial which is the reason he doesn’t do it most likely. Still, online sites do this as well and don’t change as much. I’ve sent him $50 for a few stickers.. I’d send him $100 for a nice Polyester long sleeve shirt to wear on next years ride.
Completely understand why he doesn’t though due to the initial outlay of funds.

Thinking of heading down tomorrow for the weekend. Any idea if it is nasty muddy down there right now?
