This one is considerably more fun even though we almost lost a DRZ.

It's long...so here are some of my favorite parts
    1:10 I fall down
2:33 We nearly lose a DRZ
9:20 FYYFF and you're tire threads...this dude is on a motard
11:20 We get moving at a pretty good pace while Chris films
13:45 "What an amazingly beautiful day" from the guy on the DRZ

<iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/21296420" width="700" height="394" frameborder="0"></iframe><p><a href="http://vimeo.com/21296420">Lost Creek on a F800GS</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/jamesdixson">James Dixson</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p><p>Taylor, Chris, a couple of www.advrider.com friends and I went out and rode Lost Creek area on Sunday. We got off to a bad start on one of the low water bridges Charrette Creek Road and had to recover the DRZ. We later made up for it on some real creek crossings without those pesky low water bridges...enjoy.</p>

Nice video--what are you shooting that with? Riding across water moving that fast always makes me pucker up. At least that DRZ got nice and clean.

    Nice soundtrack.

The older 720 version of the ContourHD. I rewired the mic so it was in the helmet and not on the camera.... http://vimeo.com/20519049

I started listening to zeppelin when my dad got the first record back in the day...it sticks with you.

    Nice !

I miss that part of the country this time of year... was just thinking about how the bass fishing season is starting in Arkansas.
Those slabs are slicker than snot (or ice), glad you all made it out unharmed.

Thanks for taking me back. :clap

Nice video. That DRZ wanted to float downstream bad didn't it!

I was pretty sure we were going to have to take a roundel of the f8 and call roadside assistance.

What is the name of the album so I can look for the MP3 (or FLAC) version.
Great motivational riding music. I can see pumping that into my helmet while riding.

To put it on the drz for BMW roadside assistance.

It's the live version from How the West Was Won. I believe it's the 2nd version of Dazed and Confused on the 3 disk set.

The BBC Sessions are also excellent.

I felt the knot is my stomach when the f800 went down.
My buddy lost his first one in a flood on the street.

Then when the Z almost went over the edge I was :eek1.
In all my years of off road riding I never got comfortable with water crossings. I never drowned out but once did get washed down stream around 50' on a XR600 :huh

Well since everyone enjoyed the 800GS video and sound track I may as well put this old KTM one in there. It's not as exciting, but it is something to look at if you get bored...The music is TOOL covering Zeppelin's No Quarter.

<iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/19975834" width="700" height="394" frameborder="0"></iframe><p><a href="http://vimeo.com/19975834">2010 GS Challenge Ride at Rouge Creek</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/jamesdixson">James Dixson</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p><p>This is me filming with my Vholdr atop a KTM 640 Adventure. I was out riding with a bunch of guys that took a BMW riding course in Missouri. <br /><br />Enjoy.</p>

I sort of flipped out too. Once the bike was headed straight for the edge I decided that the crash bars would provide superior braking and just let it go. You can see me hit the kill switch before its all the way down.

You're welcome. Hopefully there will be many more to come. I'll try and make them a bit shorter than 25 minutes but this was the first big ride of the year with interesting things to film.

Nice video James! I love the shot of the DRZ up to its tits in the river with the ADV sticker showing. No false advertising there!

That was a lucky accident...believe me the last thing on my mind was framing the shot.
