That wouldn't be very wise. You never know what kind of feral animals are going to be prowling the alley behind a retail complex.

Which is why you want to sleep inside a secure box anywhere near one.

Stolen from JDRocks' current day trippin' thread (which is well worth a read, IMO).

    Shepherd's wagon, somewhere in WV.

Is there such a thing as E-brakes for those things?

I've wondered if a guy could put a trailer brake controller on a bike.

Put a little window unit on top, plug in at campgrounds, nice and cool and off the ground with no set-up.

Of course, the cost of that trailer would pay for an awful lot of Motel 6's...

I'm thinking about making my new (to me) trailer convert to an optional shelter.

    here's what I started with:

I brought it home and mounted my collapsable mirage truck rack to it and painted the deckboards:

I was thinking it would be nice to make some custom tarps that would attach to the rack to turn the trailer into a temporary shelter from sun or rain. It doesn't seem like it would be a big deal to either get some tent material from Jo-Ann's and make panels to fit to make a "roof and side panels for 3 sides. I was also thinking it would make a good platform to set up a tent on for staying off the ground. :) My tow vehicle is going to be Neon, so I had to abandon the idea of a hard sided shelter.

I'm down to a 20' Keywest CC that I keep in Destin now. It was in a high and dry but, TODAY, I just found a slip with a lift and she has a new home that I can get to 24/7 :clap:clap

Here is my take on the idea. I use it to haul boats as well as my bike . Then I tarp it and set up a cot.
For now I am using poly tarps untill I get the bugs worked out. I will post up a few more pics later .
