I haven't found a single thing more enjoyable than travelling America by motorcycle, so tomorrow I head off to do a loop through the Eastern US. I did a 2 month ride at the end of last year through the Western states (30:Unemployed and Homeless (2 months and 10,000 miles) and I have been itching to go East ever since. These trips are my way of combining my love of riding and photography. I usually ride solo since my "plans" change constantly and I find it physically painful to pass up a good photo spot, that will be the case this time but I will be meeting friends and other riders along the way. This time I will be heading first to my high school hometown in Hendersonville Tennessee, seeing people I haven't seen in over a decade. Then shooting down to Tellico Plains to attend the March Moto Madness which promises to be one hell of a ride. Expect a million pictures from this alone. Then I'll head North-ish as I ride through the mountains, Clingman's Dome, Grandfather Mountain, BRP, Tale of the Dragon etc.. ending up in New York then Boston and heading South. That's about as detailed as my plans ever get, I usually map out roads two days in advance and since I have the attention of a Cocker Spaniel, any dirt road I pass I usually head down till a farmer/rancher/methhead chases me off private property. A few pictures from the last ride to wet your appetite: Today I finalize packing and charging up all the camera gear, and tonight I stare at my ceiling like it's Christmas Eve.
