Great thread-just finished the story up to Oregon.
Dave, do you have information listed on the specific places you stored your bikes along the way? I'm planning on doing your trip with your gps info provided(big thanks!) next year, and will be doing it from R.I. in 2 week sections as well. Thanks for sharing all your effort.:thumb

He's easily sidetracked: By now he's routing the next trip... and then there's that whole 'saving lives BS' that takes up way too much of his time. Somehow he always finishes though.

They tried that back in Mobius 1 or 2.... LDF's constant swearing almost got them bumped to the basement, so they decided Doc should be the official spokesman.

On the other hand, let's hope the good doc does not do up a huge update and then hit "post" right after the site is shut down for upgrades.

    That would suuuuuuck.

I'm just about caught up with all the other stuff that's been keeping writing the RR from top priority. I just logged on and found out that the site's going down in a few hours, which is just as well, 'cause I've still got some photo processing work to do. When ADV comes back up, I should be ready to go.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll be shooting out responses to questions when we return. :thumb

Doc - I don't want you to post it again, but would you please remind me where in the thread you outline the riding gear you guys use (helmets, neck braces, jackets, pants, gloves, etc)? I have read The Mobius Trip from beginning to end, but would hate to have to search it all.

    Thank you.

Hmm, it's kind of dispersed info. Helmets are nothing special, HJC dirt helmets, I think. I wear the Troy Lee Designs Chris Blais jacket (reviewed here), RokGardn armor, Francine wears her Motoport gear. I've been more than happy with the Motoport Kevlar racing gloves (with a left-hand 3-finger-tip mod for easy camera usability) If you send PM me your email address, I can send you the full excel spreadsheet packing list that describes ALL our gear, with notes, and HTML links to web pages.

Wadaya mean conclusion?:huh This is the MOBIUS report. There aint no conclusion! If doc don't get sick of us, we'll be watching him and his trusted side kick (or maybe it's the other way around) travel for years to come. :gdog:sweeti:ricky:ricky

Just checking in from Va. I think you have misplaced some of your snow down here. Please come and collect it at your earliest Convenience. Thank you.

Y'all are welcome down here anytime.

Maybe we will have our dog trained better by then.

Oops, you caught my slip of the lip. MOre correctly, is the conclusion to this section. That's what I'm looking for.

Although, maybe he is holding out intentionally to spread it out a bit. I'm sure the bikes are hibernating under a couple feet of snow, and will be for another several months.

Happy holidays, to all our ADV and Mobius friends! All is well with us, please, no worries... sorry for the delay in finishing writing up this section. There's been work/home/life/etc. stuff that's been taking the priority, but it's all good... well, not so bad anyway. We'll be back in the saddle riding soon, and writing & posting photos even sooner. :D
