Sounds like fun! I sent you a PM.

If you guys don't mind me joining and my work/personal schedule works out with your adventure schedule, I'd love to tag along. I don't have a GPS though, but I do have 24 years of experience gallivanting around AZ! :super I know I thing or two about the country side so I'm not to scared about getting lost. In fact, I think I've been on most of your Arizona route before. Whether I'm on a bike or behind a computer screen, I'd love to follow along. :clap

Yeah, they're focusing their efforts on supplying demand rather than buffing their on-line presence. From the original announcement of our corporate sponsorship deal 5/12 -- almost a year ago, how time flies:

Ya'll might consider carrying two of the best paper maps for traveling the Southwest that I know of, Automobile Club of Southern California's "Indian Country" and theirs for Death Valley Nat'l Park. Both really are very good, inexpensive, light to carry and free to AAA members. 4WD roads and precise mileages between junctions are included.

Can't hurt to have 'em tucked away.

If you have them, and you're coming along... do we really need two copies?

Well, as I interpret the Old Testament, the reason Moses et al wandered the desert for 40 years was that he broke the 11th commandment: Drive a 4Runner. :deal

I am proud to announce another sponsor for this ride. I've worked hard on this and finally got er' done.

    Sticky Ass Glue

I'm still working on Sticky Ass Tape----but it's a long shot I think.

I was sent this prototype Garmin "Death Valley" gps which may be available late this year.
I was also given the optional rubber band antennae holder thingy----much testing to be done.
I can keep the gps I was told----but they want the rubber band back :deal
I guess I could use "Sticky Ass Tape" if I ever get any.

    Dr. Rock,

I have had some personal and work related stuff come up this week that would be irresponsible of me to ignore this coming weekend. With that said, I am going to have to pass on joining you guys for this coming weekend. :cry I wish you all the luck though and I can't wait for the write up. Ride on! :ricky:ricky:ricky

Josh, sorry to hear that. Are you sure it isn't something that Anti-Hassle™ Tassels can't solve? They're kind of amazing that way, and I'm not just saying that 'cause they're our corporate sponsor. :brow

In other news, I'd re-routed us to avoid the landslide area on Hwy 89 south of Page, AZ. But if they decide to have a motorcycle class in the rally events ADOT announced yesterday, we may not want to skip that section.

    Hmmmm...

haha Well if they can add a few days to the weekend then count me in! But seriously, I hate having to renege on something I said I would do. :cry I was really looking forward to meeting some new faces and seeing some more of Arizona. I think part of it was I also thought it would be fun to be a footnote in this grand adventure that has been going on for so many years. :nod Maybe if the schedules work out I can join in on the start of Mobius 12! :evil Either way, you have my contact info, let me know if you need anything as you pass in and out of AZ. I'm in Chandler, which is in the southeast valley of Phoenix. Take care! :ricky

You know, I really have no idea how I'm gonna pull this 2 day thing off. I've never camped off of the bike, my DRZ has no rack and I have no moto luggage. I'm thinking of just bungeeing my hammock to the back of the bike and calling it a day. :lol3
