Francine ~ This news absolutely makes my day! I've been clicking in to this thread every couple of days ever since we learned that you had overcome the result of your get-off, and were out there somewhere rediscovering the joys of riding, the great outdoors, and exercising that indomitable spirit that has served you so well.

I was frankly losing faith, and the pictures of BigDog and the others just fed the worry that was beginning to surface in my little pea brain, 'cause I knew you two were "out there", but no positive word... :huh :eek1

It is SO GOOD to see you posting again, and I'm anxiously awaiting the beginning of David's excellent narrative and photos! :clap

Wonderful to know for sure now that you are "Back in Action" again.

    Rock on, young lady!

LDF, it is really wonderful to hear that your September ride was a success:clap:wings
I kept my fingers crossed for you!

Hopefully David will find some time to start the report, so that we will have a great time here in the warm cosy armchair, while you were out there fighting the elements.:freaky

Doc and Francine...you guys spend what appears to be all your "off time" running around the western states, mountains and the like. Have you ever given much thought to moving out that way so you could pursue your "passion for the backroads of the US" even more?

Oh, regarding helmets. Styrofoam degrades. I toss helmets after two years, regardless. Drop 'em once, they are compromised.

I figure it's cheap insurance. Super glad LDF is o.k. SWMBO just dropped her Triumph after some utter fool in AR did a left in front of her. The new Aerostich and Arai helmet took a beating, but she walked away from it. A little sore, but alive.

And that is what counts counts. O.k. to ride another day.

You're so kind, that is great!!

Life has us a bit busy but hope to be up and running soon.

I know that winter is upon us but I really miss my motor bike. I still 'got the bug' in spite of it all and am really excited about THAT. Some folks think Im crazy, but they dont know what they're missing.... exploring on two wheels.

OK so here I am on page 18 of 441. Like the style and the theme so it looks like I have a place to be each day over the winter.

My wife and I are planning a similar style of touring. Will be interesting to see where this goes.

Anyhoo back to the past to pick it up again. No spoilers please.

I can assure you that you won't be disappointed...better yet, there is much to be learned should you and your wife set off for similar adventures.
