Hmmm, that bike looks familiar. I wonder who owns it?
Very cool thread, Whatis a fair price for a clean one ??
My guess is, $ 2,500 to $ 3,500. Others please chime in...
Garthe thanks !
I just bought my '03 in the fall and have to sell it now...anybody interested?
I just got a 02 315r. Quick question. Do you all have a left curving rear fender. It seems like I see a lot of them that way. I am thinking that the muffler distorts it over time. Anyone else notice that?

I think 2 to 3K about right. I got an 01 for 1700, but, it was a little rough (not running with leaky fork seals) and needed a good 600 to bring up to snuff.
They are great bikes.
Easy fix. Loosen all 3 rear fender screws. Then holding the fender over to the right ( about the same that it leans left) and tighten the screws. Viola!
Do any of you konw where to buy a clutch rebuild kit for the 315 R.
i think the rubber seal on the piston has a nick and cant build pressure to operate the clutch.
just go the roach and dieing to get it running.
Lewisport for parts. To straighten my back fender I tie a small rope to the end, pull it to the right, tie it off , and leave it like that for a few days.
http://www.tryalsshop.com/ or lewisport will have. Get a rebuild kit for your front brake cylinder while you're at it. Get some fork seals too. All good stuff to have in the toolbox so you're ready for when the time comes.
Last post from me, I'm out of the trials bike owner's club as of this past weekend. I'll be back once I get another one.
Just picked up a 1999 Monetssa Cota 315R decent shape from a guy in Palmdale, CA. Me and a friend went partners on it. I am excited; never ridden a trials bike, want to work on my bike handling skills.
Anyone know of places in So Cal, I'm in Santa Barbara.
Will post pictures soon.
How do you tell the difference in a 2001-2002-2003. I just bought one and dont know the year. Maybe a VIN breakdown?
A pic would be a great help.
This is an '02 we just inherited for Miss Bitters to ride.
I would contact Adrian @ http://www.lewisportusa.com/index.htm
He is a dealer of Montesa parts and is VERY knowledgeable on Montesa Trials Motorcycles.
Finally took a couple of photos of my new (to me) '99 (I think...)
Can't wait to get it running right and learn how to ride the thing!
I think I'm going to be asking a lot of questions in the next few months...
^^^Very nice Gung!
Hey guys, any room for the 314's in here?
Yeah, show us you 314. Makes no sense to start another thread for them. Not that many around.
