I have an aluminum magnet you could rent.....
Yeah that's what I need, i ordered one, the collar not the magnet
If you have the 4RT260 with Tech fork (3ED version), I don't believe there's a spacer. There is a spacer on the Repsol 4RT260 with the Showa fork (4ED version). Check both the owners manual and the parts manual. Neither shows a spacer (AKA: collar) on the 4RT260 versions with Tech forks.
It's an easy check on the bike. Just remove the disk cover & caliper, then install the front wheel with the parts you have. Slide the caliper onto the rotor and see if its mounts are in the same plane as the fork mounting lugs.
Thanks, 3ED, checking the way you described the caliper lines up perfect so no spacer. Interestingly page 5-2 of my owners manual states "install the axle from the right side through the wheel and left side collar" that made me think for sure I'd somehow lost the spacer.
I now need to buy a Repsol, i have spare wheel collar for it.
I have a '17 260 and the only spacer I see is on the side opposite the rotor. It looks like it is about 1/2" long, silver in color.
yeah thanks, that's part of the axle shaft you see.
You're right, it looked like a separate piece. My bike is too clean!
Better go get it dirty quick then!
R &D POWERSPORTS IN PALMERTON,PA GOT A 300 4RT IN TODAY !
I wish my 300RR would come in.
Is that the Powerball Replica Edition?
No, I have one on the way, I found out my local shop was getting one and my wife gave me permission to buy it for my B-day.
They have changed the delivery date 3 times sense I put the deposit down on it...
Come to think of it, it would be way nicer if it was the Powerball edition... LOL
Had a buddy ride my 4rt and ditch his sherco the same day. Ended up finding a Leftover 2016 300RR here in PA and pulled the trigger. Saved almost a grand... cant wait to ride it.
Just keeps going... was suppose to have an update today but again, nothing...
It is what it is but definitely worth the wait.
It may be worth it, but would be much nicer if they would just tell people, we can't give you a firm date tell it's in our warehouse. And if people push for a date say well best guess is (lookup the current estimated date and then add 3 months) then say and that could change.
Well I will continue to be impatient at this point... (I started being impatient today when I found out it was pushed out again...)
Oh and I should add, impatient or not I am not being rude to the dealership as it isn't there fault.
This late in the year I would be looking at other dealerships inventory.
...What Lineaway said.
Or, this late in the year, I'd be tempted to wait and get a 2018.
