Not the old boxster engine, but the paratactic double cylinders from CF MOTO, 52kw and 60Nm, much stronger than the old one, with brake on side wheel and side wheel steering equiped, and every equipment on it can be customized like the winch on the back of the hack.

The price is less than 9000 USD, just approximate half price of Ural.

Paint looks good, some feature picutres will be uploaded soon.

There's 12v plug and usb charger in the rig, and the new engine is water-cooled~ of course electronic injection.
It's said that you can ride over 150km/h on it, it's much stronger than the boxster engine, but high speed is much easier to roll over.

I hope it works well, cuz it sure is crude looking, at least in my opinion.

Ptwin kawasaki copy motor and it's euro4 spec in some of their models. I guess they could really take a bite out of ural sales here in the USA if it ever came over here at that price point.:hmmmmm

Looks good, but reverse is a must. What is “side wheel steering?”

It won’t be $9k by the time it reaches the states. Also Ural MSRP starts at $14.5k not at $18k.

I like it but look at that weld! Quality is going to be a serious issue.

That means if you turn the handbar the side wheel will turn at the same time and the same way, there is a steel cable link between them.
Or is other any other expression to say that, sorry I'm not so famaliar to these type of words~

Thanks, I was not at the show, some of my friends took the photos.

The factory says that it will begin selling in a few month, it's still not on sale.

Don't worry about the weld, it will be welded by the robot at the next batch, and reverse will be added then.

By the way, this model uses the frame of old Changjiang 750, but the bike itself is totally new designed by a Taiwan team.

I think the O.P. is confusing 2 different China built sidecar outfits.
The one that has sidecar steering by cable is the Jailing 600 single.

As you can see the sidecar suspension is quite different from the C J machine and the cable mechanism is not in evidence on the C J either.

I'm not in China and could be entirely wrong , maybe the C J has "hidden sidecar steering " , but , I don't think so .

The Jialing also has reverse in addition to that funky steering setup. Wouldn't make much sense to focus on such exotic sidecar-specific customizations like steering before adding reverse.

A big bite of Ural sales might be 20 or 30 bikes a year.

There are better ways to make a living than gambling on disrupting a market that has barely any demand to begin with, especially when you consider the cost of DOT certification. And then think about the overhead of developing a new marque, starting a dealer network, etc.

My bet is the only way these things make it to the US is shipped to your door in a palette with (if you're lucky) a manufacturer's certificate of origin, but more likely as an "off-road only" kit.
