A few more of my '11 DR. I did a lot of work on it when I was home from work last. I still have a Ricor shock and Procycle fork solution kit to install on my next return.

I was a little worried that the new TKC80 rear tire wouldn't clear the ground with the centerstand but found out later that it did. Here it is with the stock death wing:

Went out for a quick test ride after some recent upgrades...

Acerbis tank, Mefo Explorer tires, Denali aux lights, Eastern Beaver headlight relay, and NSU bolts.

Sweet looking bike. You can stop by the hotel, drop the bags and have a great little run around bike. Very cool..

Thanks. The pics were taken at the top of a nearby observatory popular with motorcyclists. There were BMS, Harleys, and Moto Guzzis, but surprisingly they were all gathered around the modest DR asking me questions about it.

I may regret moving on to an XR650R after my sub-frame brakes and I fry the electrics trying to run an e-vest. At least I could carry all my crap on my DR650 )

It's a photo I took, processed through this iPhone app.

    My Sketch

    Here's another example:

Works really nicely. If you have a photo you want done that way but you don't have an Iphone or iPad, PM me and I'll do the file for you.

And another, for your viewing pleasure.

Well, the old ones seemed to work well enough, but the p.o. didn't seem to ride thru/in water much. I may switch over to the gaiters and be done with it.
I thought of that doug but the brace has a tolerance fit and there would be no way to get the Skin in there without destroying it or having issues fitting the brace itself.

I think I'll take a crack at using the metal gaiter clamps (instead of zip-ties). If that fails, it''l be back to the o.e. gaiters. Thanks for the feedback.

TM40 pumper and Phoenix, AZ Emissions Test
Has anyone ever gone through and PASSED, Maricopa County emissions on with TM 40 pumper equip DR650? Been working in Afghanistan the last year and a half and have a TM40 from Procycle waiting to be put on my DR but I also need to register and go through emissions testing, before I'm off to Colombia on my DR. Any suggestions??

    DesertQben,

I don't know anything about how they test things in AZ but if in doubt, go through, and pass, the test with the stock carb first. Then install the pumper carb.

I have a 39mm fcr on my 05 dr650 and no problem with emisions. I have been told that the numbers are not that strict for motorcycles, they pass virtually everyone. As you know maricopa cnty is the only place in the usa that test bike emissions, its all about the money.

Jetted properly, shouldn't matter what carb is on it.
