Out riding for updates and better tracks, should post an update in a month or so.
4 days of riding so far, and a 1000 miles.....

    Hello Scott,
It was a pleasure to accidentally meet you in Shoshoni, WY on Saturday the 5th, 2015.
It was probably windier for you, to Lander, WY than it was for my wife and I to Casper, WY. Head wind vs Tail wind,
    Ride Safe,
    Paul

Hi Scott - It was great meeting you in Idaho. Lolo Pass didn't really impress us (93-75-21 down to Boise did tho), but we did find the Lolo Trail - which was excellent, if short. From there we went down to 43 and camped in the NF campground just west of the Big Hole monument. In the morning (at 37 degrees) we visited the monument and it was very somber but we were all glad we went. We ended up doing that short stretch on the Lewis and Clark trail over Lemhi Pass you told us about. Fantastic views of the Idaho mountains coming down the west side! We thought we'd have time on the way home to take in the Steens Mountain Loop but didn't make it. A return trip is needed. Great burgers and shakes in Fields OR, but the BEST burger was in the Challis Lanes (bowling alley). Highly recommend :-) The 2nd best burger was in Yellow Pine ID. The road over Lick Creek Summit has **amazing** scenery. Maybe we'll see you out there again - take care.

    OK, Rockies V1.1 is up.

Just finished editing what I rode last month - 2500 miles in 11 days doing updates.
Thanks to Carl and Jonnie for hosting me in Sheridan.
All of the stuff that I had mapped but not ridden got looked at and used as appropriate.
Dodged the fires on the Margruder Corridor - missed them by a day or two, had to dodge a fire north of Elk City!

The Doc file, GBD file and GPX file have all been updated.
On some of the days I now note how many hours of riding time it took me to ride that section, your time may well vary.
Added a few waypoints for motorcycle dealers along the way and some additional scenic points.
Rerouted out of the Crow Reservation as they got mad and closed a road that was on NR09MT6a.

    Additional pics to follow.....

Do not really know how to ask this, but your version 1.1 is in post 1 of this thread? I have that one saved already and intend to ride it when I retire - just want to be sure about your latest changes. Thanks for all your hard work.

When I do updates, the files the links on the first page point to are changed.
So, you will need to re-download the files to get the latest version.

By doing it this way I can update the files and cover map WITHOUT having to change the first post.
This is handy since it used to be that you can't change posts after a long period of time.

Minor update to the GDB and GPX files.
I've added waypoints for the hot springs near the route based upon USGS information.
The waypoints are of the form HSxxxx xxxF - meaning (Hot Spring) (arbitrary number from 1 to 1702) (water temp in Fahrenheit).
Don't know if any individual hot spring is public or private, please observe posted signs and watch out for water temperature.
    Use at your own risk.

Dropbox changed things and broke my links to everything.
I'm made new links to the DOC, GPX, and GDB files.
Trying to figure out how to fix the pictures.
