    That's not it, there is a river down there but it's not the Salmon.

    It looks like another clue needs to be thrown out to keep this thread moving.

    I'm now on a paved road looking across the river at the gravel road I had been on. The road has the same name as the tiny town along the river near the bridge. Actually it's not much of a town but it has a dot on the map.

    You're getting closer. The paved road has the same name as the dirt road.

    You've got it, it's Greer Grade on the other side of the river of the paved Greer Grade everyone seems to ride.
