    Elevation of this small town is 400ft. Population 200. A new Post Office. I think there is, or was, a store.

    Old Ft Walla Walla was in Wallula so maybe Trailrider has got it.

    Wallula Gap from the south. Hard to believe this was a bottle neck for the Missoula Floods. Supposedly the water was flowing ove the top of those hills.

    The cabin is available for rent through the US Forest Service.

    Also according to the their web site: Cabin was built in 1929 as a single-room cabin with a front porch. This is a good example of a common type of backcountry guard station built for Forest Service workers at that time. It's now eligible for the National Register of Historic Places.
