It's time for a clue.
The road I'm looking for is on the other side of this hill.
Clear Creek Road would be on the other side of "that hill" since the last picture is looking North towards the intersection of Hwy 27 and Palouse -Albion road ( to the left).
The second road over "the hill" is Olson Road. Mader road to the right of 27 would let you bypass Palouse too , but isn't over "that hill" Kamiac Butte .
You go Roy !!!!
Idarider is correct.
The one night I go to bed early... give me an hour...
I came across this picture and just wanted to share it.
Not within the boundaries, but you will get extra bonus points to be redeemed later if you guess where the road is without looking it up. Wonder what type of businesses are down that street ?
Here is the one you need to guess.
Give us the road it is next to and the white object in the river, or the river and the object in the river.
It is a very familiar object to everyone.
Should be an easy one for someone.
15 minutes, wow a new record for me !
Is the object from another planet?
A very very common item on earth. The one you see is a bit larger than usual.
Styrofoam River Road.
To give a little size reference the rock in front of the object is closer to the size of a car than the styrofoam cup you were thinking about .
MortimerSickle has been on the road the picture was taken from, probably many times. Permagrin road would be a good nickname for the road.
Maybe, but I'm the guy who walks into a room to get something, but can't remember what it was.
With a clue like this, I'm thinking the road already has another descriptive nickname, but I don't know the object.
No other descriptive name, doesn't need one. Very well known. Thirteen pages when I put it in the Advrider search.
You do know the object very well, just in a smaller size , much smaller, but would look the same if you threw the smaller version in a 2 foot wide brook.
Hwy 12 Lochsa, giant toilet paper roll
Now, I know even less than I didn't know before.
Yep, a 9,000 lb roll of toilet paper. A truck carrying the rolls tipped over in the spring and 4 of the rolls ended up in the river over about a mile ? stretch of river. They lasted there until about July-August when they were picked out.
I figued if Handy was watching that he would wipe out the competion and flush them.
Handy is up!
I was confused, I though we were going for the place where Sexsmith was outside of IDORWA. The picture makes the river look so small too for some reason.
How about the name of the trail or the creek it is crossing:
Meadow creek !
South Fork of the Clearwater.
Neither of those.
Here is a shot of the bridge from upstream, you can see the river it dumps into.
And here is a shot from about a mile upstream.
