Sorry, Wallowa it is not Rd 66, Twin Lakes.
Hmmm, I thought we were off to a good start with Wallowa's guess...
Do I need to hint or is everyone just working really hard?
Well, I will say that this location used to be accessible by a road that is much more fun than the one I had to use to get there in this photo (which was taken a week ago!), but is now GATED. You can, however, take alternate roads to get to this campground which is still in use.
If still no takers I'll post a more pointed hint later today.
Dead... Thread... :ddog
Yep, I guess it's not as interesting as I thought it might be. :eek1
Oh well, whoever takes it is up next.
You promised more clues...where are they...game on.
Reminds me of the Spokane area so I will guess that , and east central oregon around Sisters as a second guess
To see if I can get into the general area.
HEY, Who you callin' Poopie? Oh yeah, that's me!
Hint #1: Wallowa is closest, so far (including BOTH of Idarider's).
Hint #2: The water seen on the left edge of the photo is the same flowing waterway that is on the right side of the photo.
Ponderosa State Park
Not Ponderosa State Park.
It's possible there may be some mis-communication that needs to be cleared up! :huh
Wallowa guessed Twin Lakes, Rd 66. I said no, not Twin Lakes.
Idarider guessed Spokane area and central Oregon around Sisters, both of which are incorrect if only because they are not specific enough.
Here's the mis-communication:
My Hint #1 said Wallowa was closest so far, because there ARE Twin Lakes near my photo. However, I now believe they are not the same Twin Lakes that Wallowa had in mind.
If not, then IDARIDER is closest so far and NOT with the Spokane area guess!
Clear as mud?
So it is in Oregon ? But no twin lakes in Oregon that I see. I need a drink after reading these clues !
Looks like the Wickiup area to me...
I need a Campground name.
Not sheep bridge...
Honestly, I'm not quite sure where Reservoir Campground is, but this is not it. Do you mind sharing where Reservoir Campground is?
How about...you are on Cascade Loop entering North Davis Creek Campground.
SW end of Wickiup Reservoir off FS Rd 44.
West South Twin Campground?
Not North Davis Creek Campground.
Nope, but it is less than 10 miles, as the crow flies, from Twin Lakes. The photo below was taken by pivoting about 90° from the point my 'name that location' photo was taken:
