HAPPY HOLIDAYS to ALL
Not Fawn Lake.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85GQZot8dnA&feature=related George Winston...nice music for holidays.
Not Fish Lake.
It is Crater Lake, below Crater Mountain. On the Freezeout Ridge Road (301).
It's above freezing and I'm heading toward French Creek on the Salmon. If you don't hear from me in a couple weeks send out a posse. Dump my ashes off the north side of Simmons Peak (in the Red Ives District of St Joe Forest)
I'll hand off to 650x since he's the last person to guess.
Okay, Dick, will take over but will keep the lake theme going with this picture;
Name the Lakes:
Bonus points if you can name the place I took the picture from.
I know this one but I think I am disqualified because I was probably on this ride. Someone else will get it. Merry Christmas.
I see you broke out the ole slides and pics from the ride that "You, Tim and Mike" took.....
I will have to say....... you missed out on some good grub on Christmas..... But dont worry, I still have leftovers... lol
I am going to pass the torch to you on this one. Rocky and I am currently in Goldfield NV with a really poor internet connection and I can't really keep track of this thread right now. Tomorrow we plan to ride around this area and then move south to southern Death Valley for the rest of the week.
Will be having to much fun riding in the warm weather to really take care of keeping up with this thread for now.
Hopefully in the evenings, I will be able to post a ride report of each days riding.
Okay I'll just add hints to your original picture. Hint #1: Central Idaho really high elevation.
Twin Lakes from the Twin Peaks lookout.
It's a guess, I'll admit. I'm planning a trip up there and would like to get in as far as Sleeping Deer Lookout. It looks right on the map.
A little smokey during the pic. Typical for central Idaho in late summer.
Twin Creek lakes.
Ha. I see "Creek" now after looking at the map again.
Close enough, you're up.
Name the place where this pic was taken.
Feltham Creek Point/Lookout
You got it.
Edit: NW of Challis, Idaho.
What is this place called? And what fork of what river is it on?
I know, I know, I have been here
but I am to busy riding this week to play. Need to work on a report for Day 1.
Ed: Thanks for taking over for me.
Hint: It's in Idaho.
Anyone out there? It can't be that tough can it?
