Horton Hears a "Half Breed"
^^^^^ THAT is fucking HOT. Love those pipes.
I picked this 74 up last week. Owned many bikes but never a Norton. I am looking forward to getting her back on the road.
Back on the road? Hope you don't do much more than tires, battery, and spark plugs. Looks like a rider to my eyes!
Best of luck with it tho.
She looks to be complete but things like the the fuel lines and the petcocks need to be replaced. The handles for the petcocks broke off in my hand when I tried moving them. :huh The battery needs to be replaced too. But all in all she looks OK with 14.5K miles om her.
the 74 has a capacitor, rode mine for years without a battery ,lites and at nite.
:huh It's a whole new game.
How it was.
How it is.
Saw this at the track yesterday......numnumnum:eek1
OK, what's the gearbox there? A way to use a japanese six speed on a Norton? Must have a high primary ratio, look at the size of the rear wheel sprocket. Hydraulic clutch too.
Very interesting, anyone have details?
Only details I have is thats its a Commando 961, factory about 80BHP but the engineer owner says its now up to 100 BHP.
I'm thinking I should recognize this rider, his face looks familiar from way back.Any idea Roadholder?
Took mine for a romp in the Rockies yesterday.
Unfortunately no. The Facebook poster is asking the same question!
