I'm enjoying these photos very much but I don't know much about Nortons; could you gentlemen tell me the engine displacement of the machines in posts 485 (Bootlace) and 503 (Thumpermeister)?
probably 500s (499cc) but 350 cc OHC Nortons looked very similar, count the cylinder fins.
Honestly Mate, I've no idea. I'm reckoning the machine in 485 is a 1947 Manx, of either 350 or 500....?
But hey, I'm no expert on Nortons! (Or anything else for that matter....) I just love The Motorcycle, enjoy taking photos. And forums like this allow me to share them around. 99% of the pix I post are mine,and there are at least 6000 in this iPad. Then there's the laptop. And the separate hard drive. And the several boxes of pre digital prints and negs going back to about 1963....
So we shouldn't run out in a hurry. Hope someone gets some pleasure.
