Any of the gang considering doing this on Sunday?
I'd try to make it but my bike is down for the count. Nothing major broke, just a LOT of maintenance at once.
The Somers Fun Run this summer was my first Turkey Run and while it was indeed fun it still kicked my ass.. I've got other (Pachaug) plans this weekend but I think 2013 will be the year of the Turkey Run for me...
There will probably/possibly be one more Pachaug camp-n-ride this year Swathman. Keep an eye on the official thread.. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=777479&page=36
There's no promise of "free crawfish" though so I'm not sure if it would be worth the drive down from NH!!...
Here's a video from the Halloween Camp-n-Ride. Was just a ride for me on Sunday, but had a great time. Pfunk should have worn a snorkel instead of a tophat! I'd be happy to help with a Pachaug cleanup.
Here is the YouTube Link (maybe someone can send me instructions on how to load the video frame?)

We picked up about 6" in central CT...melting though. Should be gone by Sunday.
Hoping to get in there tomorrow 9/10/12. Is there a GPS Route that's Zumo friendly? Oh, I'm on a Apple Computer too.
Wadda ya ride'n?
GPS File of Pachaug
Anyone riding pachaug tomorrow ( saturday )
Anyone see anything they recognize? Capt. Redbeard?
Looks like trash from around the loop....
my air box cover isn't in there.
We rode the southern loop today with a mammoth crew.. 12-14 riders... there are at least a half dozen large trees across the trail. We made work arounds for each of them, but they are not pretty. No way I have the chainsaw skills to remove these trees.. someone with real skill needs to take them on.. I would certainly help, but I just dont know how to cut section out of a full size pine tree under tension.
We rode the turkey run in Wrentham today. I think it was the King Phillip club that ran it. Tough day but it was a great ride while it lasted.
Yeah, in a manner of speaking. More like a MELT down! Sorry Craig, couldn't resist. Glad I never do that. Lets just say, it was a challenging ride. Fun, but challenging. Got a little TOO challenging at one point for our Mr. Sparrow. Don't feel bad, we all been there. You Pachaug guys should have ridden it. You would be glad to get back to smooth Pachaug. Really was a good ride but a hell of a workout for us old guys.
Our group did the Wrentham ride also...... Wish I had see you guys out there.
This year was the most "challenging" version of this ride, they threw every rocky, nasty hillclimb in the forests at us.
Love the "goat trail" around the little pond near the halfway point. One wrong move and "splash"!
Gary didn't even see the good one That one happened over by that little pond that John was talking about. I was frustrated cause I was riding good and then just completely ran out of energy/strength and couldn't keep the bike on 2 wheels.
It was a great ride but it was a killer.
Ed told me all about it. I was LMAOF as I was telling my wife about it last night. Weird, how other peoples misery can some how be good humor for the bystander. I'm still wasted today, but remarkably not too sore.
