It would be a bad idea to bring a 701 up Mt Misery or Babyhead, unless you're a AA guy and if that's the case, have at it and bring a GoPro!!

I've done the entire loop on my DR650 more than once (and motogo1 was with me on his TE610) and I would consider the 701 more competent (we only did the Green Falls water one time when it was really dry)

I don't know, I think the 701 is a pretty big bike. I know when I did it on my old 610 with Motogo1 and maybe you, it was a challenge. A new 701 isn't the bike I'd want to drag across the rocks down there.

A lot of people that havent done the loop before make the mistake of thinking its a well marked course that they will be able to follow their first time. This is certainly not the case. Your best option is to arrange to ride with someone that knows the way at least once or twice before you try to navigate it. There's a PDF map in my signature that I added street names to. This can be a big help finding your way.

I assume 701 (690R) is more capable than my 640
Almost anyone here has more experience than me when I first rode up Mt.Misery on my 640 with SuMo wheels, alone...
Sure I was ready to throw the bike off the cliff when I was done, but it didn't happen, came to my senses :)

What I'm saying, it's not THAT bad, neither is BabyHead Hill, plus both have an easy side line
