    For riding on a bit if snow, the ones that stick out about 1/4 inch are best. Any longer snd the leverage tends to work them out a bit. 1/4" is all you need from 0 to 6" of snow, preferably crusty.

    Thanks. Do you buy studded tires or install them yourself? As you can see I've never run them before but have the itch to ride. I've also got an xtra set of wheels laying around to mount them up to.

    I just picked up a new studded rear from Kevin's. Either drive up or get it next day if they ship it to you.

    Was that today? Rode south loop today but skipped green falls figured it be a mess. That don’t look too bad.

    Worst part was puddle coming from netra lot near pond . We usually avoid and come down rocky hill.
    Water was about top of tire and 6 in thick icebergs you had to push out of way,

    Glad your ok how is your but ,an old guy pulled the bag off the foot peg and all the tissue was hanging off it.That was a bad crash never saw a shock pulled apart before.
