Yep, saw that. I put it down to Red Bull putting old worn tyres on Webbers car so he couldn't catch the "Chosen one". Conspiracy theories abound. :evil

That was sheer genius on the part of Vettel, using Hamilton's tire to modify his front wing so he had more speed to pass on the front straight.

I bumped into rally racing in the Canary Islands on an obscure channel last night and saw that Robert Kubica was smoking the field for the first two legs. Then he wrecked. There was a shot of him sitting roadside and it looked like he wasn't using his right arm much. Is that the one he injured?

Seemed to me that Hamilton was the one more at fault in the incident.

And no, I'm not a Vettel apologist. "It's not fair!"

yes, it was his right arm.

(this video shows a bloodless simulation of the crash, and the path the armco took through the car.)

Thanks. It was a quick shot, but it seemed noticeable that was using his left hand instead of his right.

This thread wanders away from the subject of F1 circuit racing so often that its a concern.

On the subject of the whom is the best F1 driver in the very modern era, what more does one need other than the same circuit and car?

It says a lot about how sad F1 is that this list could be interesting.

But of course, it is interesting. Even the F1 drivers are interested. As you can see, when you watch them on the show. :deal

It's a bit like world championship wrestling (or whatever title the various TV versions go by these days). If some talk show took the contestants and pitted each of them against a mechanical foe ... whose batteries weren't necessarily recharged for each bout.

Is this from Top Gear? :lol3

It's a bit ironic that you complain that the thread drifts away from F1.

And then you rate drivers by their times in a crappy car on a tiny circuit on a freaking TV entertainment show. :lol3

He's doing well, and on his way to the WRC2 championship. Citroen is bumping him up to the big class next year.
