Not much here yet...
Just got back from a walk in the winter wonderland in Providence RI. I heard the sound of an engine starting up and thought, "of course some fool is gonna get his [most likely illegal and probably stolen] ATV out...I gotta see this!" Off I trudged and watched this guy have a ball slipping and sliding, until the salt truck came I love living in the poor neighborhood 'cos no one gives a crap.
I have my essentials ready. Bring it on!
Me and my lunkhead Bailey checkin out the Weather Channel. He is unimpressed.
Those are some good essentials.
I just cooked up a huge batch of home fries...will use them later and for breakfast.
I make them with bacon, sausage, onions & garlic. Working on some Chili now.
This way the omletts tomorrow will be epic.
........snowball fight in the house.
worked until 430 then went straight home...came home to find out i have nothing to drink, the packies closed around noonish...perhaps the most terrifying thing about this storm.
house was 43degrees when i (barely) made it back around 530 (thank you mercedes 4matic).
woodstove is now cranked up. got wood for the rest of the night, so should get toasty in here before bed.
keeping everything on its charger awaiting the power outage.
should be back to normal tomorrow....sans power.
Cookies and Jack?
Don't y'all hyave someone hot to have sex with in front of the fire? Bein' that the Guvn'r has forbidden us to go out on the roads.... Maybe we'll go take a bath together now.
a dwindling bottle of jack and some cookies...hardly seems like enough to make it through.
Plenty of Jack there. A tic below the top of label. Them cookies I like to call French Canadian Crack.
And Viverrid, yes I do.
Bah! BAAAHHH! (But no humbug?)
Not much yet here in Northern VT. Some sources called for 12 -16", and accumulations of over an inch an hour, but there's about 5-6" on the ground and not much more happening. #1 Son had a great time snowboarding on freshies with his school program, though. Last week it was dust on crust, and he came back pretty battered.
You know you got hit hard when the ski hill cancels your kids lesson due to snow. I am looking at an easy 20 inches of snow.
Glad I made a pass last night with the snow thrower or I would be tunneling through this stuff, it would look like a submarine with just the chute sticking out puking snow.
If there was ever a day I wished I had a set of studded tires this may be it, falling in this would be like landing on a pillow.
I got maybe 18" here in Fairfield Cty CT. Driveway, walks, and rear deck have been snowblown, cars cleaned. Now what?
Sunny but boring. No driving permitted. I'm trapped, sitting here as fair game for my wife's house expansion ideas, which is a dangerous place to be. :huh
I got you beat, was stuck home with wife and 2 yr with flu and 5 yr who will likely have it soon enough, couldn't wait to get out and plow
A street in Boston:
That's one of the best storm pics I've seen yet. Been following the event on the weather sites. Most of their pics are pretty tame.
Very nice photo.
We ended up with about 28 30" here in Broad Brook. It was deeper then my snow blowers hopper.
didnt say anything about riding.... with your background, you shoulda left the house. i would have, and did.
