This is an original Dakar jacket (not the First Gear reissue). Very good condition, minor chipping on the zipper pull and some buttons. leather feels terrific. I don't have the liner.

I'm 6", 175 with a 43" chest and I can zip it up but it's very tight. The sleeves are way short. The sleeve length is good on someone 5' 10".

Modeled here by a one time neighbor. (down boy, she's happily married)

    $170

I have one of these that at least 25 years old. When the weather is right for it there is nothing better. Such a great jacket.

    SOLD.

Pair of Marzocchi shocks in working condition. Still hold air, don't think they leak, at least all last summer when I ran these, no leaks. 13 3/8 inch eye to eye. Probably from a Duck from the 80's, but worked on my airhead BMW.

    100.00 plus shipping.

I have a pristine similar period version of the Dakar sold as the First Gear Kilimanjaro. It's very similar with only slight variation. There's nothing comparable made today. The Kili and Dakar are thick leather with many features. Something like that would have to sell for $1500 today. Having the liner would be nice, though.

I have owned my original Hein Gerike Dakar jacket for a real long time.

It got a bit too tight for me , but i just could not part with it. Saw an advertisement in a motorcycle magazine one day for Tim or Tom the tailor who made a zipper strip that simply zipped in and gave an added couple of inches so I could get it over my gut. :evil

The real problem is not with my size I discovered, it's a case of
"bad closet air" that causes motorcycle jackets to shrink over time. :rofl

Would be nice to have the liner. it's been a GF jacket for some years. I finally decided the next GF is gonna have her own damn bike and her own damn gear. You wanna ride? Disneyland's thataway. I need some brake lines---and a comfy solo seat.

If it weren't for the sleeve length I'd be tempted. I have an equally irreplaceable Ashman jacket that's actually gotten too big (I'm withering in my dotage). Screw it, I'll wear a sweater under it.

I am cleaning my stock of triple parts, so I have for today:

    -H2A (or B not sure) a framr with a title $400.00
    [IMG]

    - 3 pipes/mufflers for a KH500, not perfect but great for a user $200.00 (they do not make ant noises when shaked and NO I will not take them apart to check!)

I am in San francisco and I'd rather sale locally than ship!!

I bought this jacket a few years ago and only wore it a couple times. It's in near new condition except for a few bug splatters and the odd dusty patch. It comes with the zip in Thinsulate liner and armor(elbow, shoulders and back plate). I'm 6'2" 200lbs. and it fits me well.

Not exactly OLD school but old enough - came off a 16 valve BMW 92 K100 RS (according to PO it hasn't been on the bike the whole 21 years...)

It doesn't leak and I rode with it last season, but if I were putting it on my bike I'd send it to Works for a rebuild. Length from tip to tip (not bushings) is 15 and 1/2".

    New these are around $600

$125 plus shipping in the lower 50.

Look to be off of an old Suzuki enduro. About 14 5/8 inch from eye to eye. 40.00 obo. The one is still good, the other needs a rebuild. I started pulling it apart, but found another pair. Don't know if they are really rebuild-able.

It was suggested I post this here in Old Skool ('cos I never liked the change to Old's Cool) as, apparently, some of you are so brain damaged from leaking carbs that you never leave this section ;)

    Here goes!

    Barbour International Motorcycle Jacket
I’m not going to bother writing my own copy because the description on the Barbour site says it all.

Authentic to the core, Barbour's® International has, since 1936, kept motorcyclists dry in the foulest weather. Heavyweight 8-oz. waxed cotton fends off moisture and wind (at any speed), while the classic tartan lining offers warmth and an easy fit. Riders of vintage BSAs, Nortons, Triumphs, and Vincents will recognize the functional details of this motorcycle jacket:

    · solid brass front zip with studded closure
    · studded cuffs
    · waxed-cotton belt
    · four large flap-over pockets, one of which is angled for easy access while in the saddle
    · soft corduroy collar
    · genuine Nubuck leather trim
    · four exterior pockets; one interior pocket.

Barbour International motorcycle jacket in black. 100% waxed cotton with cotton/polyester lining. Wipe clean.

Ya better not be riding a UJM wearing dis here-ah jacket, 'cos the Brits will hunt ya down.

    Condition
Practically new without tags. Worn twice over the last two years, both times on casual outings (never ridden in, which is such a pity).

Comes with the extra snap in faux fur liner. It’s a vest so it keeps your core warm. It's an $89 extra!

    Size
No label in the jacket. Additional liner has a label, size 42.
Both my size 42 gents say this runs big. Recommend for men’s US 44.

    Price/Payment
    $400 shipped US CONUS
(this is a new jacket that would cost $538 in a shop)

The jacket is $449 new and the liner is $89 new (that's $538 for those of you who have been inhaling too much carb cleanah).

Paypal gift or buyer pays fees. Money order or personal cheque is good, too.

I'm posting this for a fellow ADVer who can't find his digital camera (actually, he's a Marine and can't figure it out ). Jacket is in my possession and will be shipped by me.
