I've heard a bike say that..... Basically every goose I've gotten near
It was 1969... Probably the day I had my circumcision.
and it is now (at least I did get off the bike for a moment after almost 45 years )
Cheers from Izmir, Turkey.

I have been lurking for many moons, but just joined today and after seeing this thread I decided this HAD to be my first post. I love nostalgia almost as much as riding, so old bike pics really get me.
This was my first motorcycle, a 1970 Benelli Buzzer. My grandparents purchased it brand new for my 3rd birthday at the local J.C. Penney store (you can see the plastic bag on the seat). I couldn't ride it for the first year or so, but I learned how to wash and wax in between rides with my dad. I can even remember my first time getting pulled over by the police because my dad wasn't wearing a helmet. Good times by the truckload on that little bike. Wish I still had it, but I traded it toward my second bike in about 1975. I still have that one (1974 XR75K1) out in the garage. :)
great first post. Welcome to ADVRider
That plastic on the seat...
I bet it didn't say "This is not a toy...suffocation hazard...do not put on head..."
back then a toy was only dangerous if you could put out both eyes at once.
And there were no seat belts on cars. I can still remember the fights my brother and I would have in the back seat of our 55 Chevy while mom and dad smoked Camels and listened to AM.
I learned to ride on an XR75.
I'm guessing this is the early 80s
Oh I like this. And this is proof it started for me a LONG time ago.
This is me and my older sister. 1974-75. On an SL350 (Dual sport) in Alaska (yeah I started out good )
Not a great pic but this was on Eilson AFB. Addicted to ADV riding from an early age. Some of my earliest memories (if not my earliest) are dad taking me on a camping an fishing trip on the bike off the back side of post (which is huge BTW) I remember asking him to "pop a wheelie" I was probably 3.
Yep you can say I love ADV riding I guess.
I was about 4 when this was taken in 1952. I recall my mother saying "don't put him on that thing"
The motorcycle was a late 40's Police Harley.
hydra glide forks first came out in 49..so it a 49 or 50 pan
Late 70s?Early 80s? Somewhere in Germany :eek1
Dad is still crook at me even now for getting a Vespa and not a Lambretta like his!

That's maybe 1981? No idea what bike that is or how old I was, but I was born in january 1978. I do know I want that helmet. BAD.
I think this was summer, 1973:
