We had an incredible time kicking off the First-Annual No-Name Ride (aka Danscape Unlimited Inaugural Ride). This thread will serve as the on-going ride planning thread (hopefully) for years to come.

The 2/11/2012 ride photos start right about...here:
    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=737745&page=34

The 5/5/2012 ride photos starts here:

    ***NEW RIDE***
It's time to get the old gang together again.

    Dates: October 20 and 21, 2012

    From your cruise director, Afry:

"Sign up is open! Go here: http://sdbca3.eventbrite.com/#

So far we have about 20 riders saying they are in but please resister so we can sell your information to the Chinese government....just kidding - no commercial use and we are NOT sharing this information with anyone - it just helps us organize the event.

Here's an alternate idea for the Ranchita to 78 track.

Straight through Ranchita down S-22 to turn off for Culp. Up Culp, down Jasper to Grapevine.

To me, that ride is exactly what a bike rally should be.
No trailers, no trucks, just a bunch of riders and bikes.

I'm bummed I missed the campout, I certainly won't next time!
    Awesome!

    Thanks

I'll recommend incorporating the Palomar Divide Truck Trail (on the northeast side of Palomar off 79) as there's less traffic, more of the sort of dirt we're looking for and the route is interesting & scenic. Starting/ending in Temecula for this.

Also, IIRC Blake mentions the road across from the Warner Springs glider port (Lost Creek?) which is a favorite of mine. The first few miles are paved jeep trail being very narrow & twisty... also little traffic and scenic.
I haven't yet taken that road over the ridge to the north.
There's a nice, unimproved campground right where the pavement ends as the road crosses the ridge (Lost Indian Campground?)

Palm Springs and the Cahuilla desert is just a little farther north (as is Joshua Tree) but I don't know of a short way down. :ear

Berdoo Canyon! This one looks a lot like Grapevine, but it is a lot longer and connects with Geology Tour Road in the park. Jumbo Rocks, White Tank or Belle would be a good spot to hunker down for the night.

Can I suggest leaving Hwy Market cross street to Magnolia to dirt on Black Canyon right on Mesa Grande (we did not ride this end of MG last time) right on 79 to Santa Ysabel. Takes 20 minutes extra but no traffic and popo.

We definitely did this section. If Santa Ysabel TT is open, we should divert and chek it out.

We did not ride the eastern end Mesa Grande Rd...we came up west from the Hideout.

The SY tt should be open, pretty much count on it in May. I can recon it the day before.

A couple of pieces of info, just in case:
The gas station at Warner Springs is closed.
The Palomar Divide was closed last weekend for weather; this time of year it's hit and miss.
If the Palomar Divide is closed you could take the Cooper Cienaga (sp?) TT to Anza, it is always open.
