Looks like easy pickings for Dungey on the KTM. What does everybody else think?
Except Barcia... or Canard....or Short....or Allesi.... or Weimer....or Rattray
I think Barcia and Dungey duke it out.
Did Barcia get bumped up to the big leagues?
Yes he did! 2 times with a #1 plate in the lites and your outta there, couple other fast guys as well as Weimer who has shown some speed lately. Never seen Ratray on a big bike but the guy is in good enough shape for the biguns!
Short did well outdoors on the Honda's as well(before KTM) and there are a few guys that have potential, I say it will be a good season!
looking forward to the season. Unadilla no doubt. Southwick. why not?
Red Bud. 700 some odd miles in the car. I REALLY want to see Larocco's leap. I put in for the Friday Monday off. anyone up for a road trip to Red Bud?
I've been looking to confirm this. I know he is bumped out of the lites for 2013, but his he for sure out of the lites for 2012 MX?
According to my 16 yr old it's official, and 16 yr olds know everything!
And...I believe I heard them say it on tv so it's true.
when they said it on TV , they were talking about SX. There is no official word yet that Barcia will race 450's in MX.
Barcia will ride Motocross on the lites bike, then be bumped up for 2013 season.
Well if you come through Toledo it can be a road trip.Wouldnt mind meeting up there either. Not sure if I'm going yet, last year was hell on this old man,but it was a ball!
I stand corrected....My son says 250's outdoors.....Geeeez I'm never wrong?
Glad to see the carnage of the SX season coming to an end the outdoor season getting ready to start. With RV out, I don't really see anyone seriously challenging Dungy. Short could pull one out of the hat. If Canard is back and can stay out of the emergency room, he could win a couple of motos and maybe an overall. Allessi? Nah. A really good starter, but can't keep it together for a whole moto. Hopefully, there will be some surprises.
I'll be at Budds Creek for sure and am planning a ride up to Southwick and maybe slip another one in somewhere. Looking foreward to a good season.
Real Bummer about RV's knee. I think Dungey will probably take this one. Short could take some wins and if Josh Grant gets in shape, he has the speed to run with Dungey. He's just inconsistant and always ends up getting hurt. The Lights will definately be the class to watch for excitement. Barcia, Roczen, Musquin, Tomac, Sipes, Boogle, Wilson, It's stacked!
If SX is where the money is and Barcia will be forced to move to SX class in 2013, it might make sense to have him race the 450 outdoors so he can get better adjusted to the bike and competition. He has proven that if he can keep his head screwed on, he is fast outdoors. He could legitimately challenge for the 450 title especially with RV and CR out along with JS' future being uncertain.
I think it would be wise of Honda to watch closely what happens with JS' contract and Trey Canard's recovery. Honda has a lot invested into JB. I don't think Honda would announce Barcia to 450s until after the SX season is complete.
Honda's lites class will still be strong next season with Tomac and Seeley.
Bubba's in for MX opener.
On a Suzuki?

Yeah, I'd like to see Grant make a good showing this year. When he's on , he's as fast as anyone, but he seems a little fragile. You're right about the lights. There's a lot of depth in that class this year. Definately the class to watch.
