Rinty... the Peggy's Cove Loop is my default riding road. From my front door in Halifax, it is about 90 minutes of fabulous twisties.

I've done the route twice since picking up the car on Saturday afternoon.

You ever out here, give me a shout and I'll get you on a scooter... Unless of course , you ride out.

I drove the loop in a Buick Century Regal. :D You're lucky to have all those twisty roads close by.

    And thanks for the offer!

Nice Panamera! Can you tell much of a VW family feel from Q7 to the PCar?

John... largely in the design aesthetic. It's all very clean and spare and Deter Rams ( Braun , designer ) like.

I thought the Q Ship had incredibly comfortable seats until I spent I time in the Pannie. Best seats I've experienced.

Funny thing is that the VW Van is worth more than most of those Porsches:rofl

I have seen their prices before and frankly dont understand or know why anyone would buy one of those. That kind of money will buy you a state of the art Sprinter or the like for camping.Maybe I am missing a piece in the puzzle ?

I don't know why everyone wants to compare Sprinters to VWs. They are not even close in size. But, even a Sprinter conversion with the same amenities, especially 4wd, fetches even more money:eek1

Here is s sprinter conversion next to a Eurovan for comparison.

So many places where its easier to drive a VW than a sprinter, especially for those using it daily around a city with tight parking and parking garages.

I understand the size issue ,I have owned 4 EV's and a Sprinter , its the money part I dont get . A Vanagon or a EV for $75k ? I do see that they sell them often , but trying to figure out, why ?

It's simply because there is no other option "car sized camper" available here in the same size.

If you compare the closest options like Sportsmobile van conversions, or even the price of new VW California Campers around the world, the prices are similar.

People are buying "small RVs" not classic VWs (though that does help)

Check out what this Eurovan with 200k just sold for!!:eek1

That's true.. I grew up in the 60s when they were everywhere, and they were cheap. If I'd known then that I could sell a 21 window bus for over $200K (rare event, I know, but it did happen), I would have bought every one I could get my hands on.

36 hp (later 40hp) doesn't get a bus down the road very well ...

Restored vintage 356 Porsche prices are astromomical.
