Don't underestimate old guys.
Yes, that stretch of JBR can use fuel at a higher rate, happened to me and another rider I know. Great report!
Wow, great photos guys!
The Trans Taiga is definitely on my to do list.
According to the good folks at the Mirage(outfitters at the midway point along the TT road) it seems this year there has been "a lot" of Les motorbikes travelling the TransTaiga!. First to attempt the road this year was a group of 11 riders, unfortunatley 2 riders crashed and were airlifted out; then there were the 2 single riders and then the 4 of us for a grand total of 17 bikes!.Somehow I thought we would see other riders but not to be, it is one of those rides where you really can sense the remoteness and experience wilderness; More than 1300 cliks of gravel that will keep you on your toes(anakees or not)....:eek1
And everyone who saw us there ..Told we have to be loufoque..
or they just said "Tabarnak"
The fact that there was piles of driftwood above our tents, kind of made me nervous. Stuck my head out of the tent a few times, to make sure the water hadn't risen.
...1300 clicks of gravel...
1300 k + 420 on North Road ..
Yes Neil ..thank you to correct me.."Tabarnak"
+ ~5km around chisisabi
And if i remember road 384- 80 k.
Doesn't Pay Dirt have a gravel driveway?
Did one of you measure that?
