Enjoy post pics and I sent a pm for if you hit my area. You need to make sure you have time to spend in Utah great stuff to see in Bryce and Zion and the N. Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Julie has a few words for you. That was COLD up there!
Just kidding. (well mostly) It was stunning and the cold didn't last too long. We really do appreciate the guidance. The Yakima canyon was great. You are lucky to live in such beauty.

Reorganizing a bit, (Looking for warmer stuff!)

Thanks for all the well wishes folks.
Hey Blazingtrails, I'm glad you found us both at the gas station and now online.
We made it back to the ocean for the night. I'm going to get some pictures loaded onto photobucket and see if I can post some up tonight or tomorrow morning.
Hopefully we hook up with Patrick46 tomorrow and get some lettering done to the hack.

OK, I need to go back to the visit at Ural. Besides some great people there, I got to see some pretty cool bikes too.

The solo was set up pretty nice. Some beautiful CNCed parts like the mounts for the rear disc and the fork brace. I think the guy in Germany that makes those parts might be a relative of the folks that helped my folks escape communist East Germany. I bet they'd never guess that their kid would someday ride a Russian copy of a German bike. I'll have to check out if I'm right.

A few shots of the Yakima Canyon area. The lack of snow and warmer temps were very welcome.

Here we are getting everything loaded as we leave Skamania Lodge. I'd like to see half this much shit strapped to one of our previous Goldwings. Think it will fit?

I brought it out and a couple thought I was joking.

    Tada!:clap
I wonder how long that rear tire will last. I gotta say that in spite of this load the rig still accelerates and stops MUCH better than I ever expected.

More tomorrow. After these shots we rode the beautiful Columbia River gorge. The next stop was the unbelievable Evergreen museum in McKinnville. I just wanted to see the Spruce Goose. I had no idea how extensive this place was. A full two days wouldn't do it justice. I'll be uploading those pictures tonight while we sleep and try to post some tomorrow before we leave for Coos Bay.

Thanks for sharing your trip with all of us.

The Ural displays of the older bikes were pretty cool.
Did they at least include a couple displays/dioramas showing frustrated riders pulling their engines apart on the side of the road?
    :rofl

    And HA HA!
