Today, 19 wildland fire fighters from Prescott were honored for their service protecting our properties, forest, deserts!

Yarnell Hill fire destroyed 130 homes, 8,500 acres ----- and most importantly, took 19 lives in a fierce fire storm that covered 4 miles in 20 minutes.

God speed Granite Mtn. Hot Shots

I was working and didn't have the opportunity to see this memorial, but my wife did. According to her it was very moving. I will never forget the 19.......

We went out to I17 and the Carefree hwy to pay our respects to the procession a few days ago. Watched the memorial service also. These young men are special people. They run into danger when everyone is running away. I have a friend on the Granite Mountain Crew. Thank God he's was not fighting the fire that day.
