Florida Sport Shooters Assn. is a good bunch, and a CMP recognized org. Not all that high tech, but I just renewed my membership. $100 for 6 years

Second Amendment Foundation no stupid costly mass mailing asking you to renew 6 months into you membership or VP's in a $5,000 suit and $1,000 shoes

I finally threw some money to Dudley at NAGR but they seem to be as wasteful with their funds as the NRA to me.

To follow that logic we need to have training to own a baseball bat as more people are murdered with bats than guns.

How about being licensed as a responsible pool owner, more kids die in pools than by firearms.

Owning bats and pools are not a constitutionally protected right.

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Some info from an Australian perspective?

The majority of 'bad guys' here look like they are illegally importing them (just like drugs).

I believe here they are kept under lock and key in some 'approved' safe.

Some say it worked here, others say it didn't. Me? I think it did. To some degree.

That and restricting the sale of guns forever more is what helps. This is not a total ban, but a restriction.

No one needs a 105mm gun at home. Nor do they need a 999 clip/magazine. :lol3 It would be like having a 7 liter adventure bike.... waste of money, good for the status of the unthinking to the unthinking.

We don't need gun control, we need thug control. We need to stop embracing the thug, innercity, gang, mentality. Between newcasters saying "bling" and shows about "baby mommas" enough is enough. What good has come from hip hop culture?

Feeling safe and being safe are not the same thing...Just saying....

b: When dealing with an out of control/overbearing military or police force what type of gun and how many rounds would you say is reasonable? Our second amendment is about protecting us from our government. It's less about what we "need" and more about what is our right as a citizen living under a constitution written by people that understood the fact that a citizenry with the power to take on their government is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to maintain a free society. We here in FL USA could honestly give two shits how people from Australia feel about our nation or our right to bear arms (please understand that this is not an insult , just a matter of fact). I am positive that this sentiment is echoed by USA nationals from other regions of our country. While we can appreciate a differing opinion we hope that those of you from elsewhere can appreciate that we simply do not care and will not give up our rights just to appease you or others that have a need to "feel" safe from guns. This is an issue that does not merit compromise and as such we will not.

Gangster Rap and Hip Hop aren't the same thing. There is good and bad in every genre. :freaky

    Duly noted, friend. :nod

I've been on here 7+ years all over every sub-forum in the house and never once felt the need or inclination to monitor New Posts over the entire board. I drop in where i'm interested and participate/contribute or not. Never occurred to me that some folks are scoping at-large New Posts. Thanks for the heads-up, Thumper. Like bro Buzz said, come hang w/ us here at a gathering gig. You might like the company, despite what you've read here. :thumb
