Hey guys, I'm about to buy my first 3 season jacket for riding spring, summer and fall here in Colorado. Would love some help. Here is what I have learned so far: - Klim makes great stuff. I just picked up their Dakkar pants which I believe will work great for 90% of my riding. Surprisingly they haven't gotten around to actually making a really good $300 Dakar jacket. (Even though I believe many people have asked) - they do make the Klim Traverse jacket. If you put in D30 armor the price is about $370 or so http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/klim-traverse-jacket - Olympia also uses the same high quality Cordera fabric in their jackets. They aren't as cool looking but people seem to like the quality of the brand. The Olympia AST jackets seem pretty popular http://www.motorcycle-superstore.co...orcycle-Textile-Jackets-Mens-Riding-Gear.aspx - Rev'it makes some cool looking stuff, but it seems like they use lower quality materials than Klim and Olympia. I like their Rev'It Airwaves jacket. (That I was planning on layering with an inner windstopper jacket and drop a shell over if it rains). I'm not sure the quality is as good as the Klim and Olympia Cordera jackets though. If you are sliding across the pavement I'm not convinced you want a cheaper fabric. http://www.cyclegear.com/CycleGear/...ve-Mesh-Motorcycle-Jacket/p/41518_199328_1936 - Bmw makes great jackets. But you have to shell out over $500 or so for em. - The KTM Rallye Jacket seems like a good design and good price at $230. But it's way on the orange side. http://www.ktmtwins.com/ktm-rally-jacket Basically I am looking for a Klim Dakkar Jacket. But it doesnt exist yet I don't believe. Let me know if I'm missing anything. Thanks!
