Put me down for a probable. Im just waiting to hear from another inmate on the dates he is passing through here. If they don't conflict.....I think I'm in. More so as I'll stop in Belle Fourche, SD on the way home for the trifecta.
A moto vacation to get "centered" never hurt.
I take that back
In Bell Fourche there is a marker for the Center of the Nation. The 'True Center' is located North of town on private land. There is a marker at that location too.

I am in for sure.
Damnit, I really want to do this, mainly to confuse people that don't ride "You did what last weekend?" Alas, I now have a wedding that Friday, and am going to Grandma's Marathon in Duluth on Sat.
I'll be here for pictures and stories
Hey sleddog. Name sounds familiar. Did you do a partial CDT ride through aspen alley a year or two ago with a fella named rich from sodak? Would have been on a new style KLR with neon green engine guards.....maybe a white R12GS.
I've been to the welcome center in town, but should do the marker up north if it's not trespassing.
Anyways I'm in
Ya I did. He was on the KLR.
No problem with trespassing
Here is a US flag on the marker. The path to it is about 50 yards from the road.
This is the marker on the road
It's about 7 miles north of highway 85 on a good gravel road.
I'm stuck at work. Have fun and take lots of pictures!
Darn. I wanted to meet the man behind the bird. I'll see if one of these guys will snap a shot of me for the warning poster
Sleddog- thanks for the info. Small wwworld.
love the pictures. I haven't seen the great sea of grass other than from the slab. Lookin forward to this.
Are you riding from the black hills to the start in KS......or was it sticking around the hills afterwards?
Look forward to meeting ya.
Deal. It'll be my first big boy trip on the little bike.
Very cool! If you do it on your CBR250R, your patch is on me.
I'm oddly looking forward to the patch. Thank you very much. In all the excitement of getting to sneak away and ride, I did almost forget just how humid it can likely be on the "tornado alley tour"
I look forward to meeting you folks.
I was thinking of taking the fz6, but now there is another small bike, the wrr sounds like it would have company
Are you making a stop in the geographical center of the 50 States? That's north of Belle Fourche, SD.
No, that's way too far west, and way off US 281.
It's not on the official route, but I'm planning to stop for a pic on the way back to the hills.
Are you DDSR? I should log in and share this with those guys. Been a while.
Leaving northern minnesota to head for west-central WI the weekend of the 13th. From there, heading to the Black hills on Monday to fish for a couple days then heading down to KS for the start.
At this point, the only snag is a mill job at work that has over run the projected outage time line. At worst, it probably will only encroach on the weekend of the 13th. If the shit hits the fan, it could smoke my whole month though...
