Note - the tracks are raw tracks containing LOTS of track points.
You may well have to filter these tracks down for some units.

I'm having difficulty finding any information on the near San Diego portion, Tried a Google search which didn't have much of a turnout. I will soon be purchasing a gps but until then I can't open the gps files.
    Thanks.

You don't need a GPS to open files, You just need a application on your PC. BaseCamp or MapSource from Garmin or many others.

Minor update to the GDB and GPX files.
I've added waypoints for the hot springs near the route based upon USGS information.
The waypoints are of the form HSxxxx xxxF - meaning (Hot Spring) (arbitrary number from 1 to 1702) (water temp in Fahrenheit).
Don't know if any individual hot spring is public or private, please observe posted signs and watch out for water temperature.
    Use at your own risk.

Dropbox changed things and broke my links to everything.
I'm made new links to the DOC, GPX, and GDB files.
Trying to figure out how to fix the pictures.
