This is a transcontinental Adventure and Dual Sport route from near San Diego California to Tybee Island Georgia. Ride at your own risk.

This segment goes from Silver City New Mexico to the western edge of Oklahoma where it ties into the Oklahoma Adventure Trail.

The section to the west of here is The Southern Route - http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1035083

The section to the east of here is the OAT - http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=836706

As far as I know all roads are legal Public roads - Forest Service, county, state, etc. Off pavement as much as possible.

Note - the tracks are raw tracks containing LOTS of track points.
You may well have to filter these tracks down for some units.

NT This looks like some great stuff. I will be looking at it in detail.

But I think there is a small problem with your track SR08NM2w. I see it is not time stamped. So maybe you didn't really ride it.

The road is open from the north. There are some No Trespassing/Private Land signs, but no locked gates. But there is a Road Closed sign when trying it from the south. It goes thru a ranch complex and the rancher is a bit of an asshole. We rode it once and he caught us going out and made it clear we weren't welcome there. But I think the road must be legal because he would surely have put up locked gates if he could get away with it.

Your route north of 380 looks really interesting. I have plotted a route thru there but have not tried it. It would be really nice to be able to get to Carizozzo by dirt.

Did you try any of the roads that headed that direction?

SR08NM2w is something not ridden, but I would like to have looked at.
Wasn't sure if it went through (it looks like it should be open but couldn't tell for sure). It is a Cyan colored route which the notes tell you that it needs to be ridden. Untried.

When I was in Socorro I asked the Sheriff's if I could get a county road map... they said - Good Luck! They didn't have maps... there should be a GIS person at the county courthouse, but they were closed when I was there. Friday before Easter, and too late in the day the other times.

As Far as getting down to Carrizozo, should be pretty easy. Those mountains that I went through just NE of there looked that there were roads heading in that direction. I didn't ride that way, and the maps were wrong in that area (surprise surprise) but I suspect you could do it.

I live in Michigan, so it's kinda hard for me to get back out there to scout it, but if you's like I'll map something for you to the best of my abilities. As you might have noticed, I've got a little experience doing that...

Minor update to the GDB and GPX files.
I've added waypoints for the hot springs near the route based upon USGS information.
The waypoints are of the form HSxxxx xxxF - meaning (Hot Spring) (arbitrary number from 1 to 1702) (water temp in Fahrenheit).
Don't know if any individual hot spring is public or private, please observe posted signs and watch out for water temperature.
    Use at your own risk.

Great photos and map info. Thank you for sharing! I am wanting to do a trip in that area summer 2017. Having grown up taking horse back trips in the Gila and White Mountain wilderness areas I am exited to go back and explore on the bike.

NT, its me again. You have done some amazing riding. Those photos are beautiful. Do you ride these dirt roads alone? Can you camp along the way? Plenty of gas and food? So many questions...exciting stuff. Maybe this Southern route would be better for me in September. I will check it all out. Thanks for your efforts. Mark

Dropbox changed things and broke my links to everything.
I'm made new links to the DOC, GPX, and GDB files.
Trying to figure out how to fix the pictures.
