Use the wheel set on both my Berg and Kato.
Got proper Brembo caliper bracket for Kato, but had to make a spacing bracket for Berg to suit 320mm disc. Just swap-out front axle spacers for different diameters and have sprocket carriers for each bike.
Had to cut holes in fork covers to clear front tyre.
Select 'wild' map setting then hang-on!
Might run the Berg in a few club open ride days this year. Do want to hurt it coz it is mainly my desert racing bike.

Won't have a good feel for the "fun" factor till spring. We are under snow and cold temps here in MN.

You can see the weather here needs some improvement as well.

Not to bust your balls , but if you are going to run full street tires , there are much better choices and sizes.120/70/17 and 160/60/17.The lower profile tires will handle much better and there are stickier compounds available in these sizes.

I use the bike to commute 50 miles a day, so some sport/tour tires
give me a lot more mileage than pure soft compound sport tires do.

I know the feeling Rob. Sticky tread is nice but for a while there I was replacing tires every 3K miles. That was with a 140 mile day commute. I got pretty good at mounting and balancing though. :rofl

that has been my experience, my DR650 SM came with Contiforce SM tires and I loved the stickiness but they were worn out at 2000 miles...mounted a set of Avon AM26 Roadriders (150/70-17 in back) and they are wearing well and have plenty of grip for what I do on the road...not bad on dirt roads either
    nice looking bike BTW :thumbup

    Hey all,

In the process of turning this 1989 honda nx250 into a retro supermoto. Still gathering parts, but can't wait until it's all done! Also found a few pictures from a few years back of my plated crf450. Enjoy.

I wasnt talking race rubber.I like michelin pilot powers.I get 4 or 5000 miles on a rear. I dont pull holeshots , but I am by no means easy on tires.

Powers are what I usually run, but I only get 1200-1300 miles out of a rear. :dunno We do have a lot of chip seal here though and while it's awesome for grip it does help eat tires up.

I was getting about 3k out of pilot powers, so I switched to the pilot road 2 and saw 5-6k with decent grip. We have mostly chip seal roads here as well and I agree they eat tires.

The worst mileage I ever got was about 1200 miles out of a set of Avon pro extreme D O T rain tires. Whats chip seal.

Chip and seal is a little rougher than asphalt . Usually for better grip .

It is also cheaper from what I've read....but not good at all for bicycles or motorcycles....thankfully there are only a few miles of it so far where I live.
