Hello to all of you, my fellow friends!
Here is Raul, 28 y.o., from SE Europe, Romania, the city of Timisoara.
Proud owner of a 1989 Yamaha XT600Z Tenere 3AJ.
Here she is, a week ago, when doing together a 4 1/2 days trip in the heart of Romania - Cluj County :
If any of you needs XT/Tenere/S.Tenere manuals and/or microfiches, PM me at any time.
Also, very important, if ever thinking of an exclusive trip to Romania, or just passing by, on your way to other destinations, give a sign and i`ll help.
Hehe, great !
Do we all go on Mitas E09? I have the same type on my bike, here in Romania!
Anyway, a revelation compared to the Siracs from Michelin, i bought it with. Especially off-road.
Few months ago, I have seen some parts from BYRD Rally kits (especially fuel tanks) for your type of bike on Ebay Italy. Very good for big trips, in my opinion, but i guess you already know about them.
If any of you needs spare parts, the best sites will be (apart from "wemoto", already mentioned in this topic), in Europe :
* http://www.kedo.de (my advice will be to download the catalog from the site and start studying it. Anyway, it is a little bit chaotic per total, but better for me than trying to order parts online in German) and
Nice pics - thanks, I hadn't seen the BYRD kits before :tb
I also had Mitas E09, but now I am back to Michelin T63 due to very
poor Mitas grip on wet asphalt, where T63 are far, far better. Siracs
are street tyre, nothing to recommend for offroad purpose.
That bike look so good it hurts, gj!
Here's my 1997 on a ridge near Lake Torrens in South Australia.
The Big Bihor mountain.
Simply I cant to do the tex upload fine(
This picture made on SteuerAnina.
You know this Town Popescu?
My trusty 1991 registered XT600Z in Poland,on our way to Budapest via Scandinavia from Ireland.
Mistzerember, The BYRD kit is incredible, but I'll have a "low-budget-life" for the next couple months, so no option to buy anything but a jerrycan for the desert . I also have to begin to spare for next years big ride with the CB500, to India if everything works as I want to.
OK! Here are the first pics of my Ténéré. After a whole week raining today I managed to escape for about 2 hours to play a little with the new toy
And back to town (Barcelona)
Hallo Spanish man!
Ahhh that is great!:)
How do you would to do?
The full trip on road or on the plain the bike and only there will riding?
Ride from here to India across Turkey, Iran and Pakistan, then ride for about 1-2 months there and then:
a)If burocracy allows me to fly back home and leave the bike there for some time, do that and then, months later, ride the CB back home through the Emirates and Saudi Arabia or -->a.2)ship it to Australia and again, some months later do some riding there.
b)the most probable ending: ship the bike back to Barcelona.

I'm trying to find the paint no. or the name for the white paint. Yamaha has about 30 different whites. I got the blue off but it took right down to the metal on the tank. It's an '89 from New Zealand. Thanks
You'll have to know at least the model & year (of the paint you want to match) to get the right white. Color Rite has exact match paints (I have white/chappy red/clear coat for my '89 XT600), try it out here.
The White/blue XTs use a completely different white, it has some purple in it.
If it doesn't list the model, it just means it's the same color as a previous/later year model's color. Yamaha 0036 is the typical white-white Yamaha used on many of the XTs & Tenere models, like this:
0036 White white, and 00E1 "Chappy" red frame
Dunno if this works for Oz or NZ, but it's a start.
Thanks, I'll give it a try.
Me and my Tenere above Susica valley, Montenegro...
AnteK: Wish I could ride there again. The whole region is incredible!
