Provisionally finished 61st today, just the end of the liaison to go!
Bloody good show Old Man.
yay Ned!!!! Eurosport live is coming on does anyone have a link?
Cool result - well done Ned
Way to keep it together Ned! Bravo.
GREAT result, but stay cool Ned! Remember your race plan...
Didn't realize you could enter multiple numbers in the 'Driver' field! Good tip.
This tracker is SO much better than the official one!
Devastating... I noticed him not passing WP4, but was hoping it was just a tracking issue. Hoping for the long-shot that he is able to stay in the race.
Sweet! So glad to hear you've finished the second day. Watching everything with bated breath, and still hoping that maybe Jonah is still in - the reports on the other thread do not yet seem entirely definitive. Anyhow, hope you can get some rest, rejuvenation, and that the heat is not intolerable. xoxoxo mom
Just to review:
__61__(74)__081 - SUESSE NED (USA)_KTM__+00:14:26_(92)__+00:18:36_(81)__+00:26:46_(76)_+00:36:42__(67)_+00:54:38
Ned started 74th, then moved to 92nd at WP1, 81st at WP2, 76th at WP3, 67th at WP4, and finished up at 61st so far. Later finishing riders could knock him further down the field...
Wow, I'm surprised you all are that surprised.
But I guess you haven't been there watching him work for this, train for this, eat, sleep and BE the Dakar.
I know he plays it down a lot by saying he just want to finish and yes, that is a realistic goal-but at the same time, Ned is very competitive. And while he's having fun, he's been working his butt off for this. His focus has been so tremendous, if you had a chance to observe him over the last few months like I have, you wouldn't be so surprised.
Way to go to finish the second day Ned! Stay strong and healthy and stick to your guns
All the Best to Jonah, hopefully there's a way for him to stay in it...it's early on, he's got a long way to go and make up the time he's lost if they'll let him go on!
Ned will move up in places just by riding his normal distance covering pace. Steady and safe, Ned!
He's off to a great start!!
Looking at Jonahs thread he appears to have Overheating ignition problems. Fingers crossed he can keep going some how.
totally awesome day for Ned, he must be stoked!
me happy for Neduro.
Maybe his angst over the details pays off. Hope so.
wearing my 950 baja shirt all week.
