Awesome run today!
Go! NED Go!
Dakar for you next, Lyndon?
Can't wait to hear the call in!
That's the spirit!
Hey, Jonah doesn't appear in the withdrawals...
Withdrawals won't be updated until tomorrow, probably.
Nice going so far Neduro. Looks like you tripped a traffic camera in SR
But, is it official that the race is over for him?
Last I heard he had hitched a ride to the bivouac and left his bike for the sweep truck.
Duke, you know it's always something that's on the cards, I have to make it happen though, just like Ned has this year. I would have loved to have done the race with Ned and we did discuss it briefly but it did not fit in with his plan(s). Ned is a great friend and we have done a lot together and still do when time permits. What he has achieved and the way he has gone about it is exactly as I would have done it. Even though we live 4500 miles apart, we have spent many hours discussing Dakar prep, sharing ideas and firing spares lists back and forth! Ned asked me to join him with Chris V before the start of the race but there were two issues with that. 1) I honestly could not face being in BA and not starting the race......that would have driven me crazy! and 2) It would have limited the time I have to compete in other FIM Rallies this year. One day Duke.......
Anyway, this is all about Ned so hi-jack over...........GO NED!
Well done Ned - fantastic
Nice. Looking forward to the rr report. xo Us
Hope you get time to read this. Keep it up - we are all cheering for you!
Best wishes and safe journeys to all riders involved in Dakar!
Couldn't be prouder Ned !!!
Keep it up...as Pyndon said - smooth = fast
and as others said - keep riding at 80% of potential allowing attrition of others and your ability to do smooth and fast, gradually move you up the leader board.
GO NED !!! you cyber support team is screamin at the top of their lungs for ya, hope you can hear/feel them
-----It is incredible that we all get to share this with Ned. This experience would make a fantastic memoir!! HINT HINT!
Perfectly said . . . and this mama will be screamin' once she gets her voice back! (Inconvenient case of bronchitis, on the mend.) Meanwhile, sending steady vibes, all the time . . . and wearing my hoodie non-stop! xoxo
(Silent Screaming . . .)
Watched it on Eurosport, the wife was say "That's Ned in the bivi.. he's eating breakfast!"
Between that and immediately starting into "they are letting retard chariots race this!" when the quads came on... I was very happy.
